Elliott Reid B: January 16, 1920 D: June 21, 2013
Was a brilliant yet underrated actor.
A lot of you probably remember him as Fred MacMurray's rival Shelby Ashton in The Absent-Minded Professor and Son of Flubber. As well as MacMurray's rival in Follow Me Boys! Ralph Hasting. He was a brilliant actor, who frequently played the character you loved to hate. He got his start on the Broadway stage before going to Hollywood, one of his most famous roles was in Gentleman Prefer Blondes. One of his last roles was trying to woo Betty White in her short lived 90s sitcom Maybe This Time. In his later years he proved to be devoted to his fans always quickly responding to fan-mail. In his most recent appearances a few years ago, when he recorded introductions for a few episodes of Here's Lucy that he guest starred in. Although a bit shaky which at his age is understandable was still sharp as a tack.
Thank you for all of the wonderful movie memories you have left us may you RIP.
