The Rules of the Game

The basic premise of "Hurt or Heal" is similar to Survivor. Participants vote off which entries they don't want to survive, but the twist is they can also save entries they want to keep.

Each entry starts off with 10 points. Players may choose to do one of three actions:

1. "Hurt" an entry by subtracting 2 points.
2. "Heal" an entry by adding 2 points.
3. "Hurt" an entry by subtracting 1 point, AND "Heal" a film by adding 1 point.

Players can only take ONE action per day.

"Day" is defined as the 24-hour period between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm in whatever timezone participants reside in. Thus, a player may vote at 6:43 pm, then again at 2:18 am, and still have it considered one action a day. Participants cannot take actions twice in the same day, for example: at 9:42 am and at 5:16 pm.

Thus, no one is allowed to get an entry removed by "hurting" it until it's eliminated, and no one is allowed to raise an entry's points by continually "healing" it to the maximum point value.

The maximum point value is 20 points. An entry cannot go above 20.

When an entry reaches 0 points, it is eliminated from the game and cannot be brought back. When an entry reaches its maximum point value (20), no further points can be added. Points can still be taken away, then added again (i.e. 20 points to 18 points to 19 points to 20 points again), but never go above the maximum point value.

To play the game, simply copy the list and adjust the points to reflect your action. Make sure to bold the entries you've adjusted so the next player knows what's been hurt or healed.

In my mind, The Meltdown was worse than DotD, but I remember loving that scene with the vultures (including a creepy, Westboro Baptist Church-esque kid vulture) singing about how they were going to eat all the other animals after they were dead. I believe I enjoyed Scrat in all of them, but he wore down a bit in the 4th one (which I saw via Netflix a month ago).
