Who are your favorite minor/secondary characters in Disney films? Who do you wish had more screen time and development?

None of them. I'd rather them stay secondary characters. Giving the characters more screen time would risk taking away whatever charm they had.

Orville from The Rescuers immediately comes to mind.

Well I meant like someone really minor. Like I always wanted the librarian in "Beauty and the Beast" to have more of a role. He seemed to be the only person in town who was nice to Belle. Granted she probably kept him in business but still. He didn't have to give her that book for free :3

I have a fan theory that the librarian is also the only other villager that actually sees Gaston for who he is and actually doesn't like Gaston because of his anti-intellectualism.I also think that the librarian was actually the only village who objected to Maurice being locked up and Gaston forcing Belle to marry him. However, knowing what sheeple the villagers are they would have probably just done something to stop him from coming to Belle and her father's defense or just ignore him.

I can see it now. "Beauty and the Beast 1/2:
Not Since Yesterday: The Librarian's Tale" I think it would be the best DTV sequel yet!

For me, I'd have to say Cobra Bubbles. I don't know why exactly, but i always liked his no nonsense delivery and the nod to Men in Black.

Well, if anything, I wish minor characters had LESS screentime... (looking at you gargoyles!)....
But I wish Flounder (from Little Mermaid) had more presence when it comes to the parks and merchandise... I;ve always thought he was adorable

Well, it depends on these factors: are these characters affecting/benefiting the story? Are they annoying or friendly? So if anything, most of the time, they might not be needed for more screen time, unless it becomes out-of-context.

People are making this topic way more complex than it is.
- Charlotte, Odie, and Tiana's parents from TP&TF. Charlotte and Odie aren't exactly minor characters (not the major players though), but I still wish they had more screentime.
- Grandmother Willow. Same as above, she does have a sizable role, but I actually would've liked to see more of her.
- Lucille from MTR, Wilbur's adoptive mother. For some reason, his adoptive father gets more screentime, but she's by far more interesting to me.
- The Titans, Hera and other gods (like Athena, for instance), and the Fates in Hercules. The Titans do have a role, but they mostly seem like empty extensions of Hades, not given any personality, etc. I know Hera is not an antagonist like in the myths, but I actually would've liked to have seen more of her here; we mostly just see Zeus, but her design/voice is more appealing to me, personally.
- The Magic Mirror, The Huntsman, and the Prince from SW. The Huntsman is the most interesting character in the movie to me, but he's given so little time. The Prince is also more appealing to me in this movie than in Cinderella (or even SB, tbh). But if giving him more time meant him becoming similar to Phillip, then I'm glad he's relegated to the beginning/ending.
-The Great Prince, Bambi's father. I'd even add Bambi's mother, who seems to have no personality.
-Clopin. Another one with a sizable role I'd like to see more of; more interesting than a lot of main characters.
- Grandmother Fa and The Emperor in Mulan.
- Si and Am in L&tT.

Honestly, I would have liked it if Snow White and Cinderella's princes got more screen time. We never learned much about them except (A) They're Snow and Cindy's love interests (Duh!), (B) They're princes and (C) Tey didn't really do much in the movies they come from.
At least with Phillip, he had more screen time in Sleeping Beauty and didn't disappear after his first appearance until the last three minutes of the film.

Grandmother Fa in "Mulan". She was funny. And young Flower in Bambi as well. He was so adorable.

A minor character that I wish had more screentime?
The first one that comes to my mind is Travis from The Princess and the Frog. FYI, it's the lanky ginger guy Charlotte brushed away during the costume party. I would have really appreciated to have him appear during the wedding reception scene instead of having Charlotte dance with Naveen's little brother.
Another minor character I really like is Miss Kitty, the infamous burlesque mouse from The Great Mouse Detective. Mostly because I absolutely adore her musical number.

The only one that comes to mind for me, is the dog in "The Princess and the Frog". Maybe a little bit more screen time, after he discovered that Tiana was a frog, and in turn, Tiana finding out that the dog could talk.

When she sings "Let Me Be Good To You" it feels like euphemism for "Let Me Make Love To You". Is it possible for burlesque performers to be a little ... slutty?

The very first time I saw the film in the theater, I can clearly remember the part where she sings the line, "Hey fellas, I'll take off all my
clothes blues" and feeling very embarrassed.
But hey, I was ten.

I would like to have seen a little more of Flounder in Mermiad, but then I also feel like I have actually seen quite a lot of him due to the TV series.
Maybe Nani in Lilo and Stitch; I wouldn't ever have called her a minor character, but would have liked to have seen more of her and less of Dr Jumba.
I could definitely do with seeing much less of the mice in Cinderella and more of the sisters, stepmother and Cindy herself.

Defientely
Turbo from Wreck-It Ralph. After he was revealed as
King Candy, I wanted to learn so much more about his backstory. He was very interesting, but the fact that we hardly see him as
Turbo with the glitching doesn't help.

They can defientely add him back in the sequel
