Jurassic Park dvd quality

Hey Everyone,
I have the Jurassic Park dvd that came out around 2000. I have never been too thrilled with the image quality of it. I just noticed that the film was re-issues in 2012... is the image quality any better? Can anyone do a few screen grabs of the 2012 version?
Are the special features the same?
