I thought this would be about a true 4K Blu-ray.

So current Blu-rays aren't sourced from 4K or (presumably) higher resolutions? What makes this special?

I see now why some people were hesitant about HD. Moving to 4K may be a significant jump, if not always completely beneficial on average sized sets.
