New Roger Rabbit shorts for Disney Channel in the works!!

Disney has just announced that in addition to new Mickey Mouse shorts on Disney this summer, Walt Disney Television Animation will also develop new Roger Rabbit shorts to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Much like the Mickey shorts, they'll be 3-4 minutes long and will focus on the adventures of Roger Rabbit as an inspector with his assistant and loyal friend Officer Bonkers D. Bobcat. The shorts take place in 1964, 17 years after the events of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Charles Fleischer and Jim Cummings will reprise their roles as Roger and Bonkers respectively (as well as supplying additional voices if necessary). It was reported that Danny Antonucci will direct the first short which involves Roger and Bonkers trying to arrest a gang of robbers in a hideout. Oh and FYI,
