In the wake of Tiny Toon Adventures getting a long-awaited DVD set, it seems that fan favorite Animaniacs is now getting one too! Looks like Warner is doing a good job getting their game together and listening to their fans.

The last handful of Animaniacs episodes really aren't that good. After losing two of the show's most talented writers, Paul Rugg and Sherri Stoner, it became over-reliant segments featuring the Warner and Slappy Squirrel (which, while featuring the voice of Stoner and Slappy, did not feature her story contributions) and went too far with viciously satirizing TV shows and movies of the time, most of all Disney. There's some gold in them hills, but the last batch won't be a great collection.

It's nice to have the whole show on DVD and I'll buy it regardless, but it's not the best of the best if you don't recall this era.

All we need now is Tiny Toons, Vol. 4, Wakko's Wish, and Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain and we will have ALL of the Spielberg Produced Warner cartoons! :D I'm thrilled.

I don't know what's gotten into WB, but I am glad they're releasing this! :)

Was hoping for a digipack to match the first three, but I will take this in any case!

Edit: Actually, the latest Tiny Toons and Freakzoid cases are digipacks in a cardboard case that will easily match the other boxes. So, there's still hope that these will have cardboard boxes. Yay uniformity!

Based on things that had been told to me by Warner Archive Collection, I had a feeling this might be coming soon. Happy to see it did. :D

Actually, I do remember the last batch of episodes, and some of my favorites are among this last group. I'm thrilled to finally get to own them.

As far as Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain is concerned, I think that will eventually come out as a Warner Archive release (but WHV had surprised me with a widespread release of Freakazoid!)

Today in Church the sermon was about the Nations of the world, and they showed this Animaniacs Clip

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IDtdQ8bTvRc" frameborder="0"></iframe>

I was shocked, but not surprised entirely, after all, one sermon was called The Gospel According to Horton and was spoke in Suessie in Rhyme, and James Bond clip.

Just thought I'd share that, since creating a new thread would be a bit unnecessary.

Got the 4th volume DVD! Finally, I now have every episode of one of my personal favorite shows on DVD!
Sucks a bit that it's not the same as the first 3. No 5.1 audio (which is okay, as the first 3 had a 2.0 channel included, so there's a bit of consistency), no extras, and not in a Digipack.
... But who cares? IT'S COMPLETED! (Same thing going to Tiny Toons. I'm so glad that it's finishing up.. and there's How I spent my Vacation on DVD! Hoo-ray! Best Direct-to-Video film gets DVD!)

I hope this Christmas time that Waako's Wish comes to DVD. Then the animaniacs circle will be complete.

I don't have any of the four volumes, but they are on my to get list eventually. As is the final DVD of Tiny Toons

Wasn't there also another Tiny Toons Vacation Movie?

1) Honestly, I'm not too crazy about Wakko's Wish. It's good, but not as strong as the series. Would be nice to see it on DVD, though. I'm just glad to have the main series for now.
2) When you can, best if on sale, get all 4 volumes. You will not regret!
3) ... No I think there's only one Vacation film. Though, there are 2 versions of this film: The original version and the TV-edited 4-part film cutting out some footage (maybe a little) for commercials and for the sake of splitting.
