Marvel should do Disney comics

I mean it should be done since Marvel was aquired by Disney you know.

I mean they should bring back Disney Afternoon in comic form such as Gummi Bears, Ducktales, Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, Talespin and whatever so they need a comeback badly.

Maybe even throw some hilarious Marvel parodies like Spider-Mouse for example with Scrooge McDuck as Iron-Duck etc. which would be fun to see Disney lampoon Marvel.

Make some Toy Story with Pixar stories and maybe throw some Rescuers comics on the continuing adventures of Bernard and Bianca to other Disney films like Lion King, Aladdin etc getting spin-offs in comic form.

Since they are owned by the same company how about them doing graphic novels and comics to Ducktales, Gargoyles, Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears and Talespin back especially Incredibles.

Fans would buy them like hot cakes.

I think a Gargoyles comic by Marvel has a strong chance.

I'd say they should bring back Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, Rescue Rangers, Ducktales etc. in graphic novels or comic form, these could make good money for the company from us Disney fans. Hell even Incredibles need to continue in comic form.

I would love to see Gargoyles resurrected in comic book form. Marvel would be perfect for that.

But if Disney were to venture into comics, I don't think they should just do old Disney afternoon series. They should come up with new and original series that feature classic characters from the Mickey & Co. universe.

More Mickey and Friends comics would be nice. Especially for their American audiences, since they already have a following in Europe what with Paperinik and Topolino (Disney comics in Italy and Finland are huge)...Japan is ultra fond of the Gang as well, so it'd be nice to have a few Disney manga around there.

I can't say much, but I have it on very good authority that a prominent member of the modern Disney Comics family is trying to get a bunch of Disney Afternoon comics back up and running. I got this from the specific person back in November at the Comic Book Convention at Long Beach, CA. This person also set the record straight about BOOM! Comics, Marvel and Disney.

Marvel isn't very interested in doing too much with Disney properties, and just because Disney owns them, doesn't mean they have to or that Disney isn't willing to sell their license to other comic book companies. You see, what happen was that the only reason BOOM! lost the license was because they abruptly ended their Incredibles comics on a cliff hanger. Disney was not happy with this decision and ended their relationship with BOOM! as a result. That is the ONLY REASON that Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers and the rest of the Disney titles ended at BOOM!, not because of Marvel, despite what BOOM! may say.

I've probably said more than I should, but all of this was told to me on the condition that I didn't share who the person is yet or any other details then what I've shared. In fact, there is a lot of details that I don't even know about! All I can say is that if certain things work out, fans will be very, very happy. When I heard some of the ideas that are being pitched, I got really, really excited! So, the best thing to do now on the comic book front is to hold on and wait and see how things play out for right now.

I was hoping the Disney Comics app would be a way Disney could release not only great Mickey overseas material drawn in Europe but also rare and vintage material as well. Such as the hard to get Disney Showcase comics etc. The truth is it hasn't been updated since 2012..I get the feeling they have ported everything over to the comixology app...but that is not heavy on Disney material to begin with...
I hate the way Disney do this. They have a big song and dance worldwide "alert the presses" show about some new product for fans...and then rather than support it if it doesn't make them a huge unrealistic profit they just forget about it and walk away...

But yeah there are a few interesting Disney Marvel properties coming up...

Yes Mickey and company could do a comeback in comic form as much as they had in cartoons lately.

But Gargoyles would be kickass you know as they would fit Marvel perfectly and there are plenty of fans of that awesome show here who wants them back too.

They are doing some Disney comics. I am looking for one of them... they did one called Museum of the Weird which is based off of the original idea for the Haunted Mansion.

Wasn't the Haunted Mansion originally going to be a museum of weird stuff.

The ending arc of Incredibles was solicited, all written, produced and ready to go. We had covers for the first two issues released online. And there was also an ambitious release plan with cover variants and all that jazz in the works. I don't buy that it was Boom's decision to arbitrarily cancel it, Disney just took the rights back before they could finish.

Boom made some terrible decisions with some of their other handlings of Disney comics, but I think their side of the story seems more likely. And if Disney wanted to release the ending of the Incredibles comic, they probably would have done something by now considering they did release Muppet Show: Four Seasons pretty recently.

Yes, they were calling it Museum of the Weird, which would have been a walk through attraction. That is what this new comic book is based on, but it is called Disney Keepers: Seekers of the Weird.
