I understand the Mulan II trailer is on both Lion King 1½ and the Alice in Wonderland masterpiece DVD, but if you haven't seen it yet and are contemplating its prospective "goodness" and/or "badness" I just posted a few
screencaps.
enjoy.

That looks great

It looks so clean and sharp! I'm looking forward to it, however I would like to see the motion of the characters first. I've heard they're not too natural?

Yes, I think it is good to note for those people who refuse to see the DTVs that the last couple of releases have been top notch quality, almost theatrical standard (they probably would be for some studios!).
The more DTVs they release, the better they get.
That is at least one reason to pick up this DVD.

Wow, you are totaly correct there. Had I not know that this was from a Mulan sequal I would have tought it was something from the Peter Pan sequal.
But I have not seen neither so I could not say, and I do not want to see them neither.

LOL!

I prefer my Snow White II: Final Destination plot.
That's great. Then wait for third installment... death is back, but now it's in reverse order. Koda in Brother Bear is the first to go, and all the Disney stars are gonna die, tracing its way back to the last hours of life for Ms. White herself.

I am most definitely excited for this movie! Mulan is my favorite Disney Animated Classic and its sequel should be promising. As I have said before, the storywriters for Mulan had written enough material for THREE movies so since Mulan I was released, there had always been plans for Mulan II and III. When first seeing the preview I noticed:
~ the blinding colors very different from the first movie, like how Cinderella II looks very very bright and plastic
~ Mushu is not Eddie Murphy, BUT it is a very well done copy. It sounds like him but there's something that makes you notice it's not really him.
~ Mulan looks like she lost weight! Her face isn't as round as it was in the first movie.
I am eager for the release of this sequel and glad others are too

I must say that the animation quality in this looks quite good. The story (from what the trailer told us) seems a bit shoddy, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Let's hope the same care given to the animation is given to the script. What I'm really looking forward to, though, is Lilo and Stitch 2 since that will be the first Disney sequel worked on by the original crew, so I have VERY high hopes for that one.

Does this mean LS2 will be done by Disney Feature Animation?

And will they be working at the CA studio or wherever DTV is at?

Me, too! I'm very pleased they're giving it a theatrical go. And Lilo & Stitch is my favorite film, so I hope the sequel turns out. I wonder what the plot will be, though? And will they isolate the sequel from the show, et cetera., which I think...would be a good idea. And the animation-quality...well, I don't expect the sequel to touch the original (in any area), but I am looking forward to it (cause I love the characters and story, for one), and hope for the best. I'm apprehensive, though, cause I want it to turn out...and Disney's sequels can be erratic, so...we'll see, I guess.
As for Mulan II, it looks like it might be okay. I never got to see the original Mulan all the way through. Only parts (when it aired on ABC once). The screencaps look nice, but I wonder how it'll all look in motion.

i know that everybody despises the DTV sequels to Disney Classics, but i actually enjoy them. it continues on the story from the classics and even though they definently dont compare to their original they are still very good enjoyable movies to which i hope disney releases a DTV sequel for every classic.
