Hi,
I was wondering if any of you remember the old Disney Channel Mini-Sereis " Great Excpectations"? It had very high production values and stared Sir Anthony Hopkins in the role of Able Magwich. They ran it a few times in the early 90's and I througly enjoyed it. Do any of you know if Disney Plans to release it on DVD in the US or abroad?
Cheers!!!

It was released to VHS (
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz), so a DVD release at some point is likely. But there are no plans at this point. With Disney releasing more and more TV movies in the future, I bet we'll see this on DVD within the next few years.

I never saw it, how good was it and how similar was it to the Dicken's book?

I'd like to know, too, since I'm currently reading the book in English class (and overall loving it) and would love to see all the filmed versions of it (the only one I've seen so far is the modernized one with Ethan Hawke, which most purists hated, but I loved).

See the David Lean one, which stars David Mills. It's great!
