Interesting article I found here.

I found this tidbit most telling:
We have always heard of gender discrimination from the point of women, given the highly patriarchal state that most of the world is still in today, but seldom do we hear of men discrimination. It brings me to wonder if there could be another side of the story to gender discrimination. Stories of female discrimination exist widely; and yes they are indeed being practiced widely in most parts of the world, but are males being discriminated in a certain manner as well? We have always said that males are taking control over women to display their masculinity but are men doing so willingly; are they taking up a role as a breadwinner to take care (“control”) of their wives and families willingly or have they been assigned such roles by the social norms created in the macro-environment that they live in?
Kinda true, actually. We're still on quite a journey if, in this day and age, non-traditionalist men are outcasted just because others are THAT insecure of their masculinity.

Yes, it's true. Patriarchy also oppresses men who do not conform to the social constructs that have been imposed on their gender.
