DISNEY GOLD COLLECTION DVD CASES... TRADE + $$$

Okay, this may seem like a strange offer...

I have the following BRAND NEW, authentic R1 Gold Collection DVD's:

- A Goofy Movie
- Black Cauldron
- Fun & Fancy Free
- The Nightmare Before Christmas: Special Edition
- The Rescuers
- The Rescuers Down Under

They were all purchased in Canada and all have a tiny yellow dot in the bottom left corner which states: "French Version Included".

Here's an example:

Now, being the obsessive DVD collector that I have become, I am looking to trade ONLY THE KEEPCASES (w/ inserts) for US versions of the same DVD's - Not the discs themselves!

PLEASE NOTE: Other than the tiny dot featured in the picture above, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever between the US & Canadian versions and this is ONLY for the cases and NOT the discs!

Now, I know people would be hesitant to just outright trade for these bilingual covers, so I'm willing to offer some monetary compensation... How's $20-25 US sound?

If you are not overly concerned with the aesthetics of your DVD's anyways, than this is a perfect oppurtunity to make a quick buck. I'd even be willing to buy you a brand new Disney DVD in exchange.

MY ONLY REQUEST: As this thread might illustrate, I am EXTREMELY picky about the overall condition of DVD's in my collection. The keepcases that I am offering to trade are in 100% absolute mint, pristine and retail like condition. Absolutely flawless and appear identical to any other Disney DVD you'd find sealed on retail store shelves... I would have to firmly request that anyone interested in trading must have their cases in the same type of condition. This means that even the slightest and most insignificant sealant residue from removing the protective security stickers which might have gotten on the tip of the insert that was poking out of the plastic is NOT acceptable! Yes I am insane and will only trade for cases that are nothing short of PERFECT!

If you feel your cases are ins uch a condition and are not concerned in the least with a barely noticable yellow dot print as seen above, than please send me an email at: Dooks21@Hotmail.com - send a p.m. - or respon below!

Again, I am willing to offer $20-25 US in compensation or a brand new Disney DVD of your choice as extra incentive.

Thanks!!!

~ Oliver.

Out of pure curiosity, why do you want the American keepcase, when you are going to keep the Canadian disc? This doesn't make much sense to me, so I want more insight to your thought process.

The discs are exactly the same. There's no difference whatsoever, other than the small packaging blurb seen in the picture above.

I just dont like that little "Version Francais Inclusees" logo. But than again, Im overly compulsive and most people would consider it insignificant considering it's the size of a quarter and bears no impact on the overall product.

Yes, the discs are exactly the same for all of your wants, EXCEPT for The Nightmare Before Christmas: Special Edition, where there is no French audio track. Why would BVHE put the "French Version Included" logo on the TNBC SE DVD, if there is no French audio track? For this particular title, perhaps you have the "<a href=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107688/dvd TARGET=new>normal</a>" release of this title, which DOES have a French audio track.

TLK, I have to double check that title to verify if the logo is indeed present but it IS definitely the SE. No question about that, and I am pretty sure the logo is there as well... strange huh?

Okay, my version does indeed have a French laguage track as well as 2 Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 recordings, and.... DTS!!!

Wow, I never even realised it had a DTS soundtrack!

Apparently, the US SE does feature a French audio track as well though, according to Amazon.com.

Really, there's no difference as stated.

Well, it looks like a good deal. Trade your American case for the Canadian case (with the only difference being a small circular blurb in French), and for your troubles, Oliver will probably buy you a DVD too.

I wish I had the following in American cases to trade. I'm too cheap to actually look for them and buying them just to trade the case and get another DVD for my efforts.

Thanks Indiana, I was really hoping to be able to swap for all or most of them though because Im not sure what Id be able to offer as compensation for just a single case...

I guess I could always toss in a cd-r dub or something if you'd be interested. I'll send you an email though.

Thanks!
