Forgive me for creating this new topic, but since Disney has changed the name from, "The Snow Queen," to, "Frozen," I decided to create one for you, just in case (or for fun).

P.S. We can still talk about Disney's, "Frozen," under Disney's, "The Snow Queen," before this topic when the previous is filled up, unless you like to continue on this topic. Anyways, here is a web from Rotten Tomatoes.

That article claims it's "traditionally animated" or hand drawn. I ran some searches and it turns out all reports are conflicting. It's split 50/50. I know we've heard sources say its most likely CG. But the only thing we know for certain is it will be 3D. Could Disney finally be making a hand drawn movie specifically for 3D? Because personally, I feel that would be genius.

1) The poll function no longer works on this forum. It's due to a glitch that has yet to be fixed.

2) There is already a thread about this topic. Please continue the discussion there. There is no need for duplicate threads. They are confusing and a waste of bandwidth.

3) @nomad2010: The movie is going to be CG. No question about it. It has been confirmed by various reliable sources. Check the original thread to find out more.

And I most certainly agree! Has Disney lost its mind? Oh well, that is marketing for you. Good news to Disney fans though, I am NOT going to complain about it. The way I see it, Disney is taking fairy tale adaptations to the next level in order to attract new and wider audiences.

Oh, come on! The only reason they're doing this now is because they believe changing the title is going to help. Not to sound like a pessimist, but it seems to be that way and has been ever since they renamed Rapunzel to Tangled, no matter how much sense it makes.

I'll be far more disappointed if it isn't traditionally animated then I will be if its lamely titled.

Having two threads going on for the same movie is stupid.

We should wait till the other thread is full and locked before starting a new one. At the moment, new information is not coming out fast enough to warrant having two.

Well I guess I'm done seeing new Disney movies for a while. I know that a title doesnt have any baring in film quality but I can't support a company that engages in this kind of stupidity. One movie I could handle but FOUR? I don't understand what's going on at Disney. When they changed Rapunzel I would joke about this but seriously what's next, change the classic movie titles in order to boost DVD/re-release sales. I'm surprised they didnt change "Beauty and the Beast" to "Ugly". Sorry for the rant but I can't handle this stupidity.

Really the only time it is absolutely necessary to change the title is when you're intentionally retelling the story in a way that's completely away from the original source. In a way I can see how Tangled worked for replacing Rapunzel because of the way they told it. For Frozen to be a good title for replacing Snow Queen depends completely on the approach of the final film whether or not it's going to stay true to the story, be too comical, or be too serious or whatever. But if you're going to a basic telling of The Snow Queen then just call it The Snow Queen.

I wish Disney would stick to keeping the original titles. I thought the change from "Rapunzel" to "Tangled" was bad enough, but to go from "The Snow Queen" to "Frozen"? Why are they so afraid to keep the original titles? I can't imagine "Snow White", "Cinderella", "Sleeping Beauty", or "The Little Mermaid" having a different title. They kept those as is and it worked out fine.

However, title changes aside, I'm glad they're doing a fairytale. I do hope it is hand-drawn as it has been stated, and I hope it's a musical too. That would be the cherry on top. After the slump of the 2000's Disney seems to be in a period of rebirth (finally!) with their films. A new reinassance may not be that far off!

Agreed. We can create a new thread once the first one gets to 70 pages or whatever like we usually do.
