Rather than posting a new thread every time I spot an interesting interview or article, I thought I'd post them all here (saves space and hopefully the width of bandiness).

Those were both fantastic articles. Thanks for sharing them. The live broadcast is awesome, too. I'm excited about that and hope that I remember to watch while I can (when I'm not in class, lol).

As some of you may know, Toonzone hosts the Disney Shorts website and they have regular shorts to download (updated every few weeks).
This weeks is: Mickey in Arabia (1932)
It is an unreleased on DVD short, very un-PC, looks like lots of fun.
2099net describes this as "the Mummy with Pete as the Mummy!"

I'm a little surprised no one is talking about this here yet. Maybe I just missed it. Diane Disney broke her silence on the whole Dis Co situation, and had strong words regarding both Eisner and Roy...

Well, that offers some hope. Not a lot, though. Thanks for the link.
I liek the beginning about Bambi not being dead. It reminds me of an Animaniacs episode in which Slappy the Squirrel took her nephew to a deer actress friend of her's who had played in a movie that parodied Bambi to show her nephew that she wasn't really dead. It was funny.

Indeed! Sydney is where all good things go to die!
Yeah, it is good that Sydney gets the recognition, but I have to wonder how long it will be before than gets closed down too...

This one's for the nerds at the front of the class...
Pixar is switching to Mac OS X and will be using Power Mac G5s for its work. Pixar had been using LINUX and Intel-based architecture in 2003.

This is excellent. I'm an OSX user myself, but on a G4 (though not at college, b/c we're forced into Windows using). But maybe it's not excellent... I'm not exactly rooting for Pixar's success, now that they are Disney's chief competitor in animation. But if this applies to the remaining projects that are joined with Disney, then it is excellent after all

Well, their next two projects - which they are presumably still working on - are under the Disney banner (
The Incredibles and
Cars). So I guess you are free to celebrate for a while...
