Fairy tales are in vogue all over now. A lot of people feel it started with Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland generating interest and a hunger for more. There will be many new fairy tale movie adaptations now, too.
I am definately more into Once Upon a Time than I think I will be into this show. I may try to watch the episodes about the fairy tales I like, though...

Was that supposed to be just the trailer? 'Cause they've showed us the whole episode from start to finish.

It's the Full Trailer - A 3 minute thing probably in a movie theater preview sorta commercial. AMC does that a lot.

I plan on checking this out on Friday night, but I think I will like Once Upon a Time better. But, you never know...

So "Grimm" pilot was weird and kind of scary, but it had an interesting plot. It's really not my kind of show. I liked "Once Upon a Time" better. I'll keep watching though. I think its downfall is that it airs on a Friday night.

Friday night is the reason that "Grimm" will succeed. What an opening episode!!! "Little Red Riding Hood" was an amazing tie-in, and it looks to just get better each week. I think the whole cast fits their roles perfectly, and they can all act. I believed them through and through. Wish I could say that about "Once Upon A Time".
The bar has been raised and if "Once Upon A Time" is to succeed, they had better match the quality of "Grimm" or it will be bye bye!!!

Eh, to each his own I guess. That's what makes the world go round. Haha
I didn't think the Grimm guy could act, nor the little girl who was abducted. Plus, I was hoping for more fairy tale background. I hope they don't stick with just Little Red Riding Hood. I guess in the end, it just depends on what you like. I'll keep watching though.
I don't know about the Friday time slot. Usually, Fridays & Saturdays are known as dead days for television. But, I guess we'll see how the ratings were for the pilot soon enough. Once Upon a Time opened as the season's #1 new drama and stands as Sunday's biggest non-NFL-driven drama debut in 5 years - since ABC's Brothers & Sisters on 9/24/06, so that one is off to a good start!

Okay, that trailer looked pretty cool to me. Though, I don't find it all that original. Seems like a typical "I hunt monsters" type show, but I just happen to love those, ha. I think the fairytale aspect might serve Once Upon a Time much better, but at least it gives this something different than just being another monster hunter show. Frankly, I LOVE Red Riding Hood variations, especially werewolf ones, so I would be perfectly happy if that was the focus of this whole show! Now, I just need to catch up with it!
Not saying I would ever prefer this to Once Upon a Time, that is doubtful, but I might like it a lot if I ever get the chance to back track and start watching it. I'll add it to my current TV list after the holidays: Once Upon a Time, Walking Dead, Being Human, Supernatural, Clone Wars, True Blood, and American Horror Story. I need to check out more of that Teen Wolf show too, if only because Teen Wolf (the old cartoon and movies) was always a big obsession of mine.
