Wow, that is simply terrible. I knew he left Apple for health reasons, but I didn't know he would pass so soon :(

Seriously? Not a website hack? Wow... if true, then yes, you can definitely see why he stood down. Sure, I'm not an Apple person, but you can't deny he is the guy who turned the company around. RIP Steve.

How sad. :( 56 is far too young to die.

May he rest in peace.

I don't see it as a bad thing for Apple, I see it as a wake-up call. They were too reliant on one individual for too many years. Jobs was brilliant and talented, but reality is, everyone goes at some point and if Apple didn't have a plan in place to deal with this, then well, we'll see what happens. Empires rise and fall. Evolution continues.

I know he will always be remembered for Apple, but I was never an Apple user, so the first thing I thought of when I saw the news was Pixar.

Remember, if it weren't for Jobs buying that little computer-animation division and putting up so much support behind it even when he kept losing money on that investment for years, Pixar would not exist today.

RIP Steve Jobs.

His comparisons to Walt Disney are somewhat accurate. It took the Disney studios 18 years to pull itself together after they let it go to pieces from mourning Walt's death for too many years.

It would suck hard to see something like that happen to Apple.

I'm not surprise.

He left the company on medical reason and that was because he had cancer.

He resigned as CEO on my birthday, August 24th. Didn't know it was so close to the end. My prayers go with his family.
