An Embarrassing Incident...

On Friday night, I made the foolish mistake of eating too big a bite of roast beef I was having for dinner, which ended up getting caught in my throat. After trying unsuccessfully all night to get it back up (which doesn't normally take long), I decided I had to go to the emergency room.
First, they tried to give me a fizzy drink, to try to get the food up, which failed miserably. Then, they ultimately decided that I had to have a GI Endoscopy to get the lodged food out of my throat. The procedure only took about 5-10 minutes. After the procedure, one of the doctors told me that I had a problem with my esophagus that was linked to my asthma which caused my throat to close certain times. I am also on a soft food diet for four weeks and I have to take medicine every day before breakfast. I guess this will teach me to chew my food better
