I've been at UD a long time. January 27, 2004. More than seven and a half years. Even factoring in my forum hiatuses, it's still a long time. I've seen members come and go. I've seen discussions repeated again and again. I've ranked my Top 10 Animated Films probably half-a-dozen times here, shared my dislike of slipcovers, The Lion King, and Snow White's voice more often than people would've preferred, and managed to make it out alive from a "Disney Essence" debate. I've made a great deal of friends - and I'm sure some enemies - and grew to appreciate Disney on a very different level than I would have ten years ago. Occasionally there have been bumps in the road, bad apples that upset the entire cart, and just some downright annoying people along the way. In the end, I will not let them overshadow all the good things I enjoyed about my time here. But all good things come to an end, and although I made this decision months ago, I feel now is the best time to formally say good night.

I'd like to thank UltimateDisney.com & DVDizzy.com for all the hard work and top-quality reviews they have provided for my reading enjoyment, and for my opportunity to contribute to those reviews from 2006 to 2007, and again in 2010. It was a valuable and worthwhile experience and one I treasure greatly. It not only allowed me to contribute to one of my favorite websites, but allowed for my thoughts to be shared with others throughout the entire world wide web.

Thank you, Luke. Thank you, Aaron. Thank you, netty, CJ, and Renata. Thank you, Kelvin and indianajdp. Thank you, deathie-mouse. Thank you to every past and present reviewer, interviewer, event reporter, photographer, etc. Thank you for making UltimateDisney.com one of my favorite places to visit, and DVDizzy.com one of my favorite non-Disney DVD review sites to read. The quality of work here is right up there with Bill Hunt's The Digital Bits and Ron Epstein's Home Theater Forum. I will always consider the three: UD, TDB, and HTF, to be the crown jewels of DVD reviewing on the internet.

Thank you to all the members, from the past to the present, from the regulars to the lurkers to the banned, from my all-time-favorites to my least-liked. I may have openly disliked some of you, and for that, I'm sorry. In the end, we're all human, and I might have treated some of you badly. Again, I'm sorry. Then, there are others whom I've grown to love and care for. We shared fond inside jokes, silly nicknames, and an overabundance of Milk Buds. I'll miss you most of all. And finally, there are a few of whom I wish we didn't drift apart. I miss the conversations we used to have, the joy in sharing opinions on each others' interests. And, of course, there were some nut jobs out there who I never really cared for, but did my best to pretend that I did. All of you made the forums an interesting place. There were good times and bad, frustrating and joyful, apathetic and AMAZING. **downs a shot** In the end, it's a place that always changes, and is never the same, no matter how much we wish it to be. For now, this is the next change.

It's been a great ride. Hope to see you elsewhere on the 'net. Until then, I'll just say "good night, but not goodbye"...

And if you care to sing along, "da da da" and all...

Just one more round, friend,
Then homeward bound, friend.
Don't forget me in your dreams.
Just one more song, friend,
And then so long, friend.
The nights get shorter it seems.
Just one more rhyme, friend.
Yes, it's a crime, friend.
But you know time, friend.
Time can fly.
So it's goodnight, friend.
Goodnight--but not goodbye.

Just one more drop, friend,
Before we stop, friend:
One more moment face to face.
Next time you're dry, friend,
Try stopping by, friend,
If there's a light in the place.
We may not thrive, friend,
But we survive, friend.
Look, we're alive, friend:
You and I.
So say goodnight, friend.
Goodnight--but not goodbye.

Just one more dance, friend.
Just one more chance, friend:
One more chorus, one more tune.
It's not the end, friend,
If you're a friend, friend,
Then you'll come back to me soon,
But it's too late, pal,
To celebrate, pal.
You'll have to wait, pal.
Don't you cry.
Now, it's goodnight, friend.
Goodnight friend.
Goodnight friend.

Da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da da da,
(Follow me!)
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da,
Da da da da da.

You're such a dear, friend.
You know I'm here, friend.
Is that a tear, friend,
In your eye?
Now, it's goodnight, friend.
Goodnight friend.
Goodnight--but not...

You will be greatly missed here, Albert. You were always a wonderful, witty person and this will be a less bright place with you gone.

Scaps, you were one of the first to acknowledge my existence on here, and one of the closest friends I've made on the site. While I know we can still be able to keep in contact, the board just won't be the same without you. I hope you have a great time on your own regardless.

It's funny, we talked about this before, and I noticed that people have been saying that you'd return eventually. I wanted to correct the, but wasn't sure if you would prefer to yourself. I guess you already did that for me.

I'll miss this place a lot. I hope to be in contact with many of you through facebook when the site's last day comes. The People on this site have helped me come out of my shell.

Here's to Friendship and to the magic and people we all have met on this site Here's to Luke for bringing people together and friendships that will last for infinity and beyond

So can you tell us exactly why you're leaving for good? I don't think it has to do with the members. You're one of the more tolerated members on this forum, and to leave just because some members(whoever that may be) are bit argumentative. If that is case, then I'm quite surprise of this coming from you.

I'm really sorry to see you go Albert! I've always looked up to you since joining the site myself in 2005. I've always found you to be one of the most insightful, wise, and intelligent members of the community, and I know for those reasons you will be missed by many other members. You will be forever connected to my memories of my time here on UD, and you are part of the reason why I've always found this particular forum to be so welcoming.

Thank you very much, and the best of wishes!

Gracious Scaps, you're not thinking of leaving are you? Think of the other members, think of Mr. Banks, he was just begining to get used to you. :P

But seriously, I will personaly miss you as others have said and I'm sure others will feel. Not just for talks of lace collars (*rawr*) and mango wussle, but for your wonderful stories and well developed thoughts on such Disney things as The Black Hole and The Rocketeer.

We'll never forget you Escapay! :(

Well, Escapay, this is actually really sad. I mean, you have been here in a while, but...still...jeeze, your leaving the place that I thought was so your place on the internet.

But if you really wanna leave, then, well...I hope that you are happy with whatever you do. And, well, keep talking to me. Ya haven't E-mailed me back yet.

But you will be missed. Like I said, this is a sad thing for this place.

Oh no! The "Escapay versus..." series won't grow anymore! I liked finding the latest interview and reading it. :( I also liked your posts outside of that series. You've got a great sense of humor. I'll miss seeing you around here.

It's not going to be the same around here without you. I will stay in touch via the Facebook, but will really miss your Soap Opera updates here on UD. Hope you have a great time doing what you love, and will miss you very much. See you on Facebook Albert.

You have always been one of my favorite members here, Albert, and it's a shame to see you go, but to be honest I'm barely here anymore, either.

I will keep in touch on Facebook, and it goes without saying that you were a substantial part of this forum and I know of many members that respect and admire you, myself included. Good luck to you in everything that you do, my friend!

I just looked up and read your Vs. Prince Charming! That was really well done, rather interesting and intrigueing along with your humor! Really felt like a real character there that you brought ot life, too. I completely disagree with so much of it, of course, like that he goes commando or that Twist in Time was "real emotional human drama" when that's opinion, love and losing love was real emotional human drama in the first one, you just mean "more" drama and with them speaking lines. But that's me, right, can't let anything like that go, lol. And you'll be you, the guy who will go on to be great, and we will miss.
