I'm not surprised. I only wish they'd give some kind of even bare bones release to other titles that have never been released before while they are busy re-releasing things like the "Toy Story" films for the billionth time!

Actually, that's not all that's being release.:

"Diney/Pixar's upcoming November 1st 3D versions of the Toy Story movies are now available for pre-order on Amazon.com as the Toy Story 3D Trilogy in an 3-disc 3D BD box set for $69.99. Toy Story 3D, Toy Story 2 3D and Toy Story 3 3D are also available for pre-order separately in their 3D versions in a 4-disc configuration for $34.99 each, which includes a 3D BD, 2D BD, DVD and Digital Copy."

Sorry, Disney (as well as all the other companies distributing movies in 3D on Blu-Ray), While I do occasionally see a movie in 3D in theaters, I am not going to buy into the 3D gimmick and buy an expensive 3D HDTV just to double dip on movies I already own that probably weren't meant to be seen in 3D (Such as Toy Story and Toy Story 2). This whole fad is going to die someday. It's inevitable.
As for enjoying 3D I will be content either going to a movie or I have my Nintendo 3DS for that, and that does not even need glasses. thank you very much.

So it would seem that in order for you to get the special features disc for "Toy Story 3" you'd need to buy / already own the original four / two disc set? Like, sort of like the inverse of how you need to buy the "On Stranger Tides" 3D set to get the bonus features Blu-ray? Disney sure seems to like screwing people around these days.

Have to agree. I'll be more excited to get "DuckTales" Vol. 4 or "Song of the South," of the "Mr. Boogedy" movies. Those are example of releases worth getting excited over!

Kinda random but in case anyone was wondering, I asked Lee Unkrinch through twitter if this release fixes the bed clipping issue in Toy Story 3
(
heres what that looks like for those unfamilair), and he says no, the mistake is still there in this. Was kinda hoping they would fix it, I can't look at this shot the same way ever since I noticed it. As odd as it might sound I was willing to buy this even without a 3D TV if it meant having that shot fixed. haha

I liked that they used the original poster for the cover-art of the first Toy Story. But, yeah, I'm not interested in upgrading to a 3-D television set and as amazing as the Toy Story 3-D Double Feature was, I'm not double-dipping.

What irks me, is how the three individual covers aren't quite similar.
Like, the first film, has a whole bunch of the characters, in an action shot, in a three dimensional space. (Actually, this would make an awesome lenticular cover!!)
Second film, has three characters, against a flat, boring background, that kind of looks like a cut and paste job in MS Paint, very underwhelming.
Film three, two characters, so sterile and boring, but still not themed similarly to the second cover.
But, being from Australia, I'll probably be lucky to even get these 3D releases, and they'll be plastered with

, but I have seen a few rare examples where the Aussie covers are more attractive than the US releases, so fingers crossed!

This is great news for me! I'll finally be able to sell off that stupidly large Ultimate Toy Box trilogy set to buy these editions, they'll take up a lot less shelf space for all the same material - plus the 3D versions.

That is true, it comes off kind of sloppy as a result.
