Well...that's....no pun intended....Odd.....it's for sure something differ from Disney.....It seems a little campy, but I am very curious about this movie.....I'd take this over another talking dog movie (Air Buddies etc) and idk...I wonder if this is a DTV or will it come to theaters....

The film we know the most about is the fantasy drama The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which stars Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton as an infertile couple who wish for a child and, lo and behold, magically wind up with a 10-year-old boy (C.J. Adams). It’s slated to hit theaters on Aug. 15, 2012.

I think it looks kinda interesting. It doesn't really look like it's aimed at kids or teens, either, which is a new direction these days. If done right, it could be good. But something tells me this will just be one of those intriguing premise/bad execution Disney movies.

The trailer makes me think this could be the messianic-feel good-fantasy take on "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

I think it looks good. Comes out August 15, 2012.

Uhhhh...Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolfe was really actually much more about the deep psychology going on in the marriage of two very troubled people...not the best comparison...

Well, the trailer and story seem interesting. Wonder what the twist at the end will be...

Seems like this Disney flick isn't getting much exposure on here. Has anyone seen it yet? Is it any good?

Seems like Disney just slipped it in there amongst the late summer blockbusters, almost sweeping it under the rug.

My wife and I saw "Timothy Green" a couple of nights ago. While it isn't gettin g the best reviews we found it to be very charming The story gets lost sometimes, and by lost I mean they are preparing us for one thing and then it is forgotten and they lead us somewhere else. The cast is well done, everyone knows their roles perfectly. The movie doesn't seem as long as it is, and that could be to the credit of the director who keeps things going at a very good pace.

For my bucks it was well worth the watch and I will be adding it to my collection when it comes to Blu-ray. Only a 3 on a five star scale, but that doesn't mean it was bad, it wasn't. It just left a whole lot of questions unanswered at the movie end.

I just returned from seeing this movie, and it was by far the most moving movie I've seen since seeing One Magic Christmas in the theater as a kid. (One Magic Christmas is my all time favorite movie, by the way). The Odd Life of Timothy Green had me on the verge of tears several times, and at the end I finally lost it completely. Anyone who has ever felt "odd" for any reason yet who found their own inner strength should love this movie. Anyone who is LGBT will find a special place in their heart for this movie. Despite the tears at the end, the story was ultimately beautiful and hopeful.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green is probably not a movie for the masses. Those who don't relate to the issues and feelings it evokes will probably find it cheesy. However, like many specialty, independent, and art films, there are people who will find the charm in this movie, and for those of us who know what it's like to feel odd, this movie will hit home. It should have been titled The Beautiful Life of Timothy Green for he knew his own beauty within all along. Anyone who ever doubted him is the odd one, not Timothy.

It reminded me a bit of Pollyanna because of the influence Timothy has on others with his innocence, hope, and honest intentions. It also reminded me of Disney movies from the early 80's, a time period of lesser known titles that didn't make a lot of money but are among my favorite Disney titles. Tex, Amy, The Watcher In the Woods, Night Crossing, Journey of Natty Gann, and One Magic Christmas. I'm thrilled to see Disney making this kind of movie.

The music by Geoff Zanelli is very, very good, reminds me a lot of Thomas Newmans always beautiful scores. Have not seen the film yet, but I love the score.

Help. What does LGBT stand for? I am totally lost when people use just letters for things like BatB, TLK, SotS and others. Wish people weren't so lazy and could type everything so the uninformed can enjoy reading what has been posted.

By the way, my wife and I saw "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" and were thoroughly entertained. Very good movie with a very memorable music score.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's nice to hear that people are really enjoying it on the forum.

went and saw this movie at a early matinee...it was one of the best movies i have seen all year. cute story, good acting..and so many themes. i can certainly understand comparisons to bullying/lgbt issues. very heartwarming.

yet, it only gets a 39% on RT.

But I shouldnt judge since I enjoyed the Lovely Bones.

Yea, 39% on rotten tomatoes from the critics, but the user reviews there and elsewhere gave been very high. What do the critics know anyway?

I know the topic is pretty much dead, but has anyone else seen the Nostalgia Critic's review of this movie?
