"Minnie Bow-Toons" (new animated short form series)
This new short form series was inspired by a popular episode of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" that focuses on Mickey's #1 gal, Minnie Mouse, and her friend Daisy Duck and is set in Minnie's Bow-Tique (which stocks only bows and bow-ties). Scheduled for a 2011 premiere, it will be followed soon thereafter by a full-length series that takes place at Minnie's Bow-tique Hotel and follows the comedic happenings as some familiar guests, including the Hippo from "Fantasia," check in. On any given day, Minnie acts as hostess, party planner, chef, fashion consultant, riding instructor or tour guide, with Daisy taking on the role of a very chatty front desk clerk. Clarabelle is a cow of all trades, taking on a number of jobs – bellhop, maintenance worker, pool attendant, juice bar attendant and room service waitress – all for which she is completely ill-suited. "Minnie's Bow-Toons" is produced by Kate Boutilier and Eryk Casemiro ("Olivia") and directed by Robert Ramirez ("Can You Teach My Alligator Manners?"). It is a production of Disney Television Animation.

Franchises that will immediately benefit from the launch of Disney Junior include the already successful Mickey Mouse Clubhouse; the series has been so successful, in fact, that a new Minnie series for 2012 and short-form content premiering in fall 2011 is in development.

Minnie Mouse:

•Coming in Fall 2011 on Disney Junior, will be a short form series, called "Minnie Bow-Toons".

•For 2013, a full-length series debuts for Mickey's #1 gal pal with Minnie's Bow-tique Hotel.

Someone lost some brain cells over at Disney and suddenly decided that Mickey and Minnie and their friends are ONLY for three year olds. And the animation should be CGI, not hand drawn or at least looking more like 2D animation.

the same person that decided to create the have a laugh short versions of classic cartoons AND destroy classic cartoons with stupid songs like Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana!

Minnie Mouse showcases her passion for fashion in her own Disney Junior short-form series "Minnie's Bow-Toons," launching with a week of new episodes MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14 – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (8:55 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and DisneyJunior.com. Based on a popular episode of Disney Junior's hit Emmy-nominated series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," the new series finds Minnie and her good friend Daisy Duck running Minnie's Bow-Tique, a specialty shop which stocks only bows and bowties. No matter what the occasion, Minnie has a bow (or bow-tie) for every situation, whether it's using a rubber bow to fix some leaky pipes or shredded bows to make pom poms for a cheerleader.

In honor of Minnie's birthday weekend, Disney Junior will air a block-long marathon featuring the new shorts and Minnie-centric episodes of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on Friday, November 18 (8:55 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., ET/PT) and Saturday, November 19 (6:30 – 9:00 a.m., ET/PT).

One of the most beloved characters in the world, Minnie Mouse was first introduced to the public alongside her leading man, Mickey Mouse, in the 1928 classic animated short "Steamboat Willie," where she played a damsel in distress.


Some additional fun facts about Minnie Mouse:

• Born to farmers Marcus and Margie Mouse, Minnie’s full name is Minerva Mouse.

• Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse share the same birthday – November 18.

• Minnie's Bow-Tique is not the first time Minnie has owned her own business. In the 1933 animated short "Building a Building," Minnie owned a lunch cart where she sold boxed lunches to construction workers.

• Minnie loves dressing up in bows and ruffles and high-heeled shoes and her signature style has become a staple of classic Hollywood beauty.
