The eternally-busy Guillermo del Toro may have already lined-up another upcoming project. Crazy, Stupid, Love. producer Denise Di Novi told ComingSoon.net at that film's New York junket today that she's developing an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast alongside del Toro and that Emma Watson is lined up to star.

Seriously? He cannot...keep...doing this. He has way too many projects he wants to do already, and two of them are Disney ones, Haunted Mansion and Maleficent, and both of them are things he is already a huge fan of, so he should do them first.
And really, if there's gonna be a Beauty and the Beast live-action...I think it should be the Disney animated film and musical blended together, with some new/different songs, and some other changes to make it really good.

Well, it's not Disney-inspired, so I wouldn't expect a musical
Emma Watson has me interested.

Seen as two films based on Snow White are being released next year, I don't see the problem with a Beauty and the Beast live-action film. At least if del Toro is involved, we know to expect something very unlike the Disney version.

well im happy to see no one's trying to stifle creativity here.
This actually seems very appropriate for his filmmaking sensibilities.

I agree to the second part, but what do you mean stifle creativity?

Animated Views called her Belle...they're not really going to copy Disney with that, right?!?
