Oh! Does it? I can't wait for the new season to start, hopefully anything new they've added this year will be fun.

I hope they have a good cast this time. I didn't like most of the people last year.

me either. I thought it was it was a dud cast. xD
@Chernabog_Rocks: I hope so too. I hope they don't have the coup d'etat this time. I still haven't forgiven them for Big Brother 11 with its use of it.

I can't believe that this show has an audience. It is so totally scripted, and the acting by the people on the show is so stilted. But, as usual, I am probably the only dissenter here. I will not be watching for sure.

Proof that it's not scripted:
1) They added a spring season during the writer's strike to lessen re-runs. You can't have scripted w/o writers right?
2) You can subscribe to a 24/7 online live feed where you watch what's going on in the house at all times (and can watch nominations and competitions live online before it's edited and shown on TV).

Last year I was in LA I was told by Bill Shatner's webmaster who knew a few people in last year' cast and who worked on the show and yeha it is not written per say but it is staged. It's loads of fun though.

I can't wait!

I think all reality shows are "guided," if not downright fixed.
Still, they are entertainment, so it doesn't bother me.

I actually don't remember too much of last season....quite a few of my family members watch this so I'm sure we will be getting together for Big Brother parties all summer

Well let me refresh your memory.
Brenden and Rachel? Remember "No one gets between me and MY man."

*shudders* Oh yes. Rachel. I had nearly blocked her from my mind....
I also recall.....Matt now that I think on it, annnnnnd.......those...other guys in his Alliance....the Lame...er..Lane guy, and that one annoying guy with the accent. I think there was a fourth but it's a mystery to me on who he is/was.

It’s sad to say, but I liked the show most while Rachel was still on.

Annoying, yes, but the rest of the cast was just so boring.
Unfortunately, I read that they had pretty high ratings last year, so they’ll probably get a similar cast. *sigh*

Just remember that this is an alphabet network show, so the dialogue will not be as 'blue' as real life would be in these situations. I just don't understand what the big deal is about these type of shows. It just goes to show you that not everyone like the same type of programming.

The live feeds tell a whole 'nother story.
I highly recommend anyone here who watches the show to supplement it with reading the IMDB Big Brother message boards during the course of the show. What they describe happening in the live feeds is many times different than what is edited for TV viewing.

I've always gone to MortysTV for my BB updates, though usually at the end of the week that way nothing too big is spoiled for me.
I'm pretty sure I enjoyed Brendan and Rachel but eventually it turned into a *headdesk* theme with them. Also, despite his huge lie I enjoyed Matt for some reason.

I liked Matt too. His lie did have me rolling my eyes at him though. I was mad when his alliance threw him under the bus.

I was rooting for him to win actually.

If you actually believe this stuff that they tell you about the "24-hour-cam" following their every move think about this.
We don't seem making use of the bathroom at any time in the show, and we never see them sleeping, totally.
This show is already done, and in the can. The so-called video feed on the internet is set up to run when the show does, but everyone involved has already done their "part" and have moved on to other things.
This is so much like "Survivor", which is taped months ahead of its air date so that they can get the editing down on things they want to happen, and may call for re-shoots or whatever.
"Big Brother" has an audience, as well as some of the other 'so-called' live as it happens, shows. Just don't count me in on being a regular viewer because I have enough problems of my own without watching other people and their scripted...errrrrr!!! "guided" problems on a television reality show.

You do realize American Idol, The Voice, America's Got Talent, etc. are all classified as reality shows, too? Widdi said similar things about how American Idol was fixed. The point is: nobody cares if it's fake or not. Its only purpose is to entertain. The end.
Hope this doesn't become a recurring theme...like some other threads in this section.

Then how do you explain live evictions and things like that?
Proof that Big Brother 13 is already done?
