Laid Off

I have been working as a bundler for Peckham Industries since the start of 2008. Today, I found out that me and several other employees in my area will be laid off after Friday. The reason was because of the economic slowdown that demand for the products made where I work are down. This is really shocking for me and I really hope I can find another job eventually.

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that.
It seems to be happening all over; the company Rey works for laid off half its employees back in March, and we're not sure if the place will even survive through the end of next month.
Hang in there! It sounds like you've got some experience down so I'm sure you'll find something soon.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I was laid off last May, and didn't get another job until late January. The job market is rough right now (its terrible in my area), but think positive. I'm sure you'll find something.
