Did anyone else get a Nintendo 3DS?

Did anyone else get a Nintendo 3DS? If so what do you think so far? My friend code is 3093-7089-6387 and my user name is TJ Wolfe if you add me send me your info and I will add you too. I have SSF4, Steel Diver, & Pilot Wings. I have really enjoyed it thus far, I think the 3D is great but not nearly as good as on my Samsung Plasma. It does really add to the game play, with the ones I have so. But I think Pilot Wings benefits from it he most, it is really cool to fly over and around the island in 3D. Street Fighter is cool and 3D and I like the added depth in the playing field. Steel Divers is a great new franchise for Nintendo, and it looks god in 3D but the real perk to this game on the system is the motion controls because it allows you to use a great simulation of a Periscope.

But my favorite experiences on the 3DS have been with the built in software, the Faceraiders game is a hoot, in it you again use motion controls along with camera to shoot flying faces from photos you take with built in cameras and they fly all over so you have to spin around and find them all. I also really like the Augmented Reality Cards one has a bunch of games on it that are lot of fun and the other 5 are just animated statues of Nintendo charecters. The system also has built in more features and games for the Mii's than what the Wii does and italso lets you create them via photos.

Let me know what you think if you got one too.

My friend got one, and I got to look at it. It's SO COOL! I'm hoping that I can somehow acquire enough money to buy one for myself soon...

It is really cool, I was able to sell my DS Lite and bunch of the games I would probably not play much more of for enough to cover the cost to get the 3DS and 2 of the games. I am just glad I had decided to not go the DSi route I almost upgraded when they released the DSi Xl.

I preordered mine (Aqua Blue color) back in January. I got it on Wednesday and I think it is pretty cool so far. I currently have two games for it; Super Street Fighter IV (Which I am TERRIBLE at) and Nintendogs + Cats: French Bulldog (somewhat a guilty pleasure for me).

Cool, I am pretty bad at Street Fighter as well kind of a button masher but I enjoy it. Nintendogs was good on original DS and looks like the new one has alot of enhancements I thought about getting it but I know once Animal Crossing comes out I would probably end up getting and playing it instead. Which is what happened on original DS I know they are totally different but they are both good timefillers you can pick up and play for a few minutes each day sometimes for hours. So because I know this happened last time I decided to just wait, just wish we knew when it came out.

I found the demo at Target, I was surprised it was there where neither my local Best Buy or Gamestop have demos yet. You might check your local Target if you have one close by.

I'm holding off buying one right now. Its a tad expensive in my opinion, and nothing was "must have" out of the launch games. Might look at it a bit more when the Ocarina of Time remake is released, or it gets a price drop.

For those that got one how does it handle older DS games? I've heard some pretty bad reviews because it scales the image, etc... The reviews mention you can play them without the scaling/etc.. but it makes the image small and has black borders on all 4 sides. Some gaming sites even recommended keeping your DS Lite/DSi for your older games... So that has me a little worried, although I plan to keep my old DS Lite anyway.

A friend of mine got one on release day. He is in love with. He's started carrying it around with him wherever he goes. Yesterday, I asked to play a game on his phone that I like and he realized that he had accidently left his phone at home, but he did have his 3DS on him lol.

I have a DS lite and a few older games I don't play that I plan on trading in for a new 3DS. The only thing is that I have no idea how much I'm going to get from them and I don't have a whole lot of money to spend on it. At Gamestop how much do you think I'd get for a DS Lite, 2 GBA Pokemon games, and 1 DS Pokemon game? They are all on good condition. Maybe I'll just wait for my tax return, whenever that'll arrive.

They were giving $50 for a DS Lite if you bought a 3DS. I'm not sure if that promo is still going on. If not probably $30 for the DS and $5 or less for the game. Honestly your better off keeping them. Gamestop is terrible with trade ins.

I bought a blue one today. I LOVE it! I don't have any actual games yet, but that's okay. I'll get some soon when I get more money...

I got one a couple days ago (blue) and I think it's amazing. I don't find the current library of 3DS games all that impressive, so that didn't influence my decision to get one despite the price---I'm anticipating future releases, like Zelda (and the Layton/Phoenix Wright crossover...they're localizing that, right? Right???) One complaint: I don't like the 'clicky' buttons. I liked my DS Lite's soundless controls....I'll get used to it, I guess.

And I can't wait to cover this thing in rhinestones, maybe add a couple cellphone straps & charms....*girly girl*

Thanks disneyboy20022 and DarthPrime, I haven't traded in anything in gamestop for a really long time so I was unsure. I think I'll just hold off and save up to get the 3DS. That Lego Pirates game looks neat, maybe I'll look into that too!

I wonder how well the 3DS is doing so far? I went to Target last night and they had a couple in-stock on the shelf. I thought it would be impossible to find.

I'm not planning on getting one for awhile. Probably when Kid Icarus or the Ocarina remake comes out.

I've got a question on battery life... How's it stack up on 3DS games, and what about DS games?

Oh my god I hope so.

I'm still hoping for a localization of Ace Attorney Investigations 2. D: I still need to get my hands on the 2nd and 3rd Layton games though, since I've only played the first.

As for the 3DS, I think I'll wait until some other games come out for it.
Not that Steel Diver and SSIV 3DS don't sound interesting, but I'd rather wait for Ocarina of Time 3DS (Since I missed out on the original. I never had an N64...), and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

I'm confident they'll bring over both the crossover and AA:I 2....both series are pretty popular. I'm psyched for Ocarina, even though I bought the Gamecube port a couple years ago....I'm also super excited for Skyward Sword!!

And I never played the original Kid Icarus but I'm definitely checking out Uprising. 8)

:o I've been meaning to buy Harry Potter Lego, but I think I'll hold out for this!
