Your name is so very cute! Though...it seems like you would like Snow White the best.
I'm new, too. Are you Japanese by any chance? I know a little of the language.
I love Aladdin!

Yea, I'm Japanese/American. I know fluent English and know a fair deal of Japanese.

Although, I only know hiragana and katakana, and only about four hundred kanji!
yea, yea...I'm a loser!

Hi yuki, be welcome to the forum.
Im student of japánesse, and my level, i think is a litthe higher than yours because i alread learnt about 250 kanji.
The special edition dvd of "the lion king" in japan seem to be the greatest.

So, Yuki, since you know Japanese, can you tell me what the Japanese call Princess Snow White? I've heard it's very different. Oh, and why is Aladdin pronounced "Arajin" instead of "Aradin"?

Hmm....Snow White. Translated from Kanjii, it's Shira Yuki Hime...(Remember that in Japanese the 'r' is a combination of the 'l' and 'r' sound.)
Literally translated to English, it's White Snow Princess. In other words, Princess Snow White. They call Snow White by Shira Yuki Hime for some strange reason, while the other princesses are:
Belle: Beru
Princess Aurora: O-rora Hime
Ariel: Arieru
Jasmine: Jasumin
Cinderella: Shinderera
So....yea, that's how it goes.
Aladdin is(Translated from katakana) Arajin. Not Aradin. Why? you ask? To be truthful, I don't have a clue. I suppose that the 'de' and small 'i' symbols to make the 'di' sound didn't sound quite like the real ending to Aladdin...still, it's a bit odd. I wonder why they didn't end it with more of a 'den' instead...it sounds just like the American title.
...Now, was that confusing?
