Oscars won't be over with until after 10 pm Central time. Otherwise I would be glad to talk about all the winners and losers.
Who are your favorites? I have picked Natalie Portman for Best Actress in "Black Swan" with Annette Bening in "The Kids Are All Right", as my alternate favorite to win.
I hope that Colin Firth wins Best Actor for his role in "The King's Speech", and Geoffrey Rush wins Best Supporting Actor for his role in the same picture.
Best Picture is a you-pick-'em in my book. I would like to see "Inception" win, but it is probably going to be either "The Social Network" or "The King's Speech" that walk away with this year's Oscar. My dark horse winner is "Black Swan", but I know I am in a minority here with that choice.
"Toy Story 3" should win Best Animated movie and "I See The Light" from "Tangled" should win Best Song.
We will see when the dust clears just how far off I am, or how correct I was.

My Oscar Picks-
Best Picture: The Social Network pretty much has this wrapped in the bag. If it doesn't go to TSN however, it's most likely going to either Black Swan or The King's Speech. I'm not sure which.
Best Actor: Colin Firth.
Best Actress: Most likely Natalie Portman, but I could see Annette Bening taking home the statue, too.
Best Supporting Actor: I'm going to assume it's going to Christian Bale this year, although I agree with you, junkie, I'd like Rush to take home the gold.
Best Supporting Actress: Earlier this award season Melissa Leo had this on lock, but apparently some have found her Oscar campaign a little desperate so if she doesn't get the Oscar tonight, I'd put my money on Helena Bonham Carter.
Best Animated Film: While I'd love a big surprise in this category just to shake things up a little bit tonight, it's going to "Toy Story 3."
Best Director: I can see this going to either Fincher for "The Social Network" or Aronofsky for "Black Swan."
Best Song: I'm hoping for "I See the Light" from "Tangled." I do think it has a pretty good chance tonight, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Does anyone know how I can watch the Oscars online? I'm on the Oscar.com live stream, but apparently they don't show you the actual stage.

I've never seen the Oscars before, so I'm excited to see what's actually going on.
EDIT: Never mind, found one. Congrats Melissa Leo for Best Supporting Actress!

I never really cared for the Oscars, mainly because it's always so bloody obvious which movies/persons will win!
I mean, the films that are being nominated are always the ones that were *made* to win a truckload of Oscars. I think The King's Speech is a really good example of that --although I haven't even seen it yet! But I've read so much about it, so many reviews and critical analyses, and have seen so many trailers and excerpts and they all SCREAM one thing: "please, give me the Oscar for Best Film!" It has always been that way with the Oscars. It's always the grand, epic, too long, too pretentious, too heavy drama film that wins the most and most important Oscars. It's never a clever comedy or a well-crafted action or adventure movie or even an intelligent psychological thriller. Well, maybe Portman will win Best Actress for her role in Black Swann, which *was* an intelligent psychological thriller, but! as good and intense as she played it, it's one of those roles that scream: "please, give me the Oscar!" Even the fact that there are movies that are nominated in 10 or more categories makes me wanna skip those. It's not that those movies are *that* good; it's just that the Academy is very narrow-sighted.
End of rant.

Congrats to "The Social Network"!
I must say though, I think they pulled the music on Aaron Sorkin kinda earlier, didn't they?
