Question about Toy Story on Laserdisc.

I was wondering, Is the transfer on the Toy Story laserdisc done from an actual film print or directly from the digital files? As much as I absolutely love the Blu-Ray, I'd kinda like to watch a transfer of the film that looks like I remember it in theaters.
If you look at the original trailers, The first VHS release, and most older TV airings, The film has a unique film like look to it that none of the DVD transfers, nor any home video transfer of a Pixar film since has had. We play the VHS for the children at the Daycare center I work at and I noticed while watching it that it has slight imperfections in the image like speckles, scratches, ect. and a slight wobble to the picture in some instances, It reminded me of the way the film looked the many times I saw it in theaters and I figured the Laserdisc would be the highest quality source if the same transfer was used.
