Oh my gosh, I'm shocked!
I didn't know him from Touched By an Angel, but through his Christmas movies with Kathy Ireland. They weren't masterpieces, but they put a smile on my face.
How sad it is that he passed so young.

That's horrible.
I remember loving
Touched By An Angel as a child and, though it doesn't really stand the test of time, I thought Dye, along with Della Reese and Roma Downey, was a really great actor in that role. Unfortunately, I haven't seen his other work.

Goodness, I remember those. The first was fine, the second one was a bit over the top.
Our family watched "Touched By An Angel" almost religiously during its run. He will be missed.

Della Reese has passed at 86.
She apparently had two brain surgeries in her last few years.
I only found two
Touched By An Angel threads, and decided to post this here instead of starting a new topic. I know she did much more than TBAA in her career, but it was her best-known role. While the show is incredibly dated now, I grew up watching it with my family and Reese was always my favorite part even back then. I've read some short bios of her and wish Redd Foxx hadn't passed away when he did. With the two of them involved, I'm sure their show,
The Royal Family, would've been a huge hit and made her a sitcom icon. She had a fantastic personality and great voice. She will be missed.
