Things that the Disney Channel should be playing, or even ABC.

Isn't it strange that ABC Family doesn't even show a traditional Disney night as part of their "Days of Christmas" family programming marathon?

What about "From All of Us to All of You", "Mickey's Christmas Carol", "The Small One" or "Babes in Toyland" at least?

Thank goodness for TCM - - I hope they pick up an expanded package of Walt classics for future broadcast.

I'll try to remember to tune in to TCM that day. I've never seen most of the movies on that list.

Then you really must see "Old Yeller", "Pollyanna", "Swiss Family Robinson" and "The Parent Trap" - - all four among Walt Disney's very best movies of any genre.

The TCM documentary on Disney Live-Action is also very good - - and "The Love Bug" is still lovable.

If you need a break, don't bother with "The Apple Dumpling Gang", or the "Witch Mountain" films which are post-Walt productions no where near in the same league: pleasant kitsch at best.

Outside of TCM, I watched a plethora of Disney live action films on Hallmark HD. Both station are a great one-two combo. Still, I wouldn't mind viewing old school Disney on the Disney Channel even late at night I don't care. I'm just saying.

Finally! An opportunity to see the Love Bug, I can't wait. :D

ABCFamilyChannel HD showed a lot of Disney movies in their 25 Days of Christmas so far. Including some great Disney shorts to fill in time between films. They showed The Santa Clause 1, 2 and 3last weekend and this weekend they have all three Pirates of the Caribbean films scheduled.

They may not have 24 hours of Disney but they are obligated to show certain programming during the daytime during the week and then their evenings start at 7 p.m. Eastern time and according to their schedule it looks good all the way to Christmas.

TCM does have a great package to show, and they will all be show in their Original Aspect Ratios, also.

:D

But no actual "Walt Disney" classic films at all, even though they show movies and cartoons from other studios of a similar vintage (Willy Wonka, Chitty, A Boy Named Charlie Brown, The Sound of Music, etc.). That's so wrong, especially since there are a lot of Walt Holiday evergreens that are being ignored - - and they OWN them???

hey, I LOVE the original Escape to Witch mountain. In fact, its much better than the remake they did (sorry, Dwayne Johnson).

These are movies Disney Channel SHOULD be airing...but they refuse. :(

They've only aired the remake....at least this "2000s Disney Channel" has...I am sure the original aired 20 years ago when Disney Channel acknowledged Walt.
