How often do you watch Disney movies?

I was talking with a friend of mine last night, telling her the handful of Disney movies I crammed into my schedule this week, and was shocked when I have gotten up to eight. I'd say I average about three animated movies a week. I think that's pretty fair... generally I'll watch a bunch in a row if I have the time. :P As my collection grows, I feel like I'm watching more and more Disney flicks (and a lot of the time it's the same 10 or so). How about you guys? How often would you say you watch Disney movies?

Up until around four years ago, I used to watch Disney films (as well as other film favourites) on a semi-regular basis, perhaps with a gap of between five or six months and a year to allow for some freshness (I find it odd how adults can watch the same films over and over again every few weeks and not get driven mad). Nowadays, however, I seem to watch less and less films, and my favourites less and less. Part of the problem admittedly derives from an increased lack of time and the fact that I've left home but still have it as a sort of base (aka: all my DVDs are there, but I'm not there often enough to watch them ;)).

The last time I had a real Disney movie spree was back in a stretch around 2008 (ironically, a time when I was spending far less time at UD :p), but that was only during a series of university breaks (one in March/April, then of course summer); exams, coursework and generally not being home stopped me from watching them all that often when at uni, and I think the only ones I did see were Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, which I actually watched with friends. For the record, the other films I can recall watching around the spring/summer of 2008 include Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Bambi, Dumbo, 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, Peter Pan, The Rescuers, Robin Hood, The Three Caballeros and Pocahontas. And even then, nearly all the films that I watched were ones I hadn't seen in two or more years, and I haven't watched any of those particular films (bar 101 Dalmatians) since. Compare this to sometime like 2005 (when I hadn't left for uni), where I'd watch a Disney film on an at least fortnightly basis, and the gaps between viewings of certain films would be a lot smaller (though normally no less than four or five months, I'll confess).

I want to get back into the swing of watching my favourite films often, but I'm not going to dwell on it that much, especially when it comes to Disney. Part of the magic of Disney animation to me is that the films are novelties, a series of utterly charming cinematic fantasies that take the viewer from the real world to a place where animals talk, fantastic creatures are abound and happy endings are the norm. Watching them constantly as an adult arguably could erode their charm, and I'd rather watch them only every two or three years and keep their freshness as opposed to watching them every two or three months and become monotonous.

Hard to say... I think I watch one Disney movie at least every season, but there is no regularity in this. Sometimes I just grab a particular Disney movie because I'm in the mood for it. if I buy a new Disney dvd I usually do not hesitate to play it. I think I watch a bit more of them around Christmas when I'm staying with my parents.

Almost every night when I'm not feeling sick or I'm not too tired

Maybe once every month or so. I'm so busy most of the time that I'm hardly able to watch any film, especially during the week.

Not very often. When I have the opportunity to watch a movie, it's often not a Disney movie. There's so much outside of Disney that I like in cinema, that it seems like a waste of time to rewatch familiar films that I've already seen a hundred times, when in the same time, I can watch a brand-new film. But I will revisit some old favorites from time to time. Funny thing is, not too long ago I watched One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Great Mouse Detective and The Sword in the Stone. For whatever reason, they popped into my head and I *had* to watch them.

Whenever I get the craving.

After seeing Waking Sleeping Beauty I had the strongest craving to watch Cauldron and for some odd reason just this week I've been wanting to watch Bambi.

Whenever we want to enjoy some good family entertainment we always turn to our Disney collection, which thanks to Blu-ray is growing and growing.

My three-year-old grand daughter loves "Phineas and Ferb", and we happen to have all four P&F DVD's that are available, so they get watched almost on a daily basis. I have some episodes I have recorded to DVD-R and so we have a variety of those shows to watch.

As a family, at least once a week we have a Disney night in the Junkie Home Theater. In fact, tonight we are going to watch Swiss Family Robinson, which is by request of my son-in-law, and then we will probably watch either Old Yeller or Davy Crockett & The River Pirates. And as always, we will squeeze in some cartoons from my vast collection of Disney and Warner Bros. cartoons.

So, in short, we generally have at minimum, one night a week designated as Disney Night, but with the Holidays coming we will probably up that to two or more nights. With Disney you can't go wrong for family entertainment.

One every two months or so; I like to space them out so I can keep the novelty alive.

I watch animated Disney films whenever I'm in the movie mood or if I abide by a schedule. For a few weeks I had a film schedule in which one day I would watch one film and another the next, and I would keep a freshness gap of two to three weeks before I would watch the same movie again. The problem is that my DAC collection is still fairly small, so whenever I build up my collection, I'll be watching Disney films more often.

I generally watch three or so a year. When I'm sick, that tacks on a few more (there's nothing as comforting as an animated Disney classic :D ). This year, I don't think I've even made the usual quota. I've been pretty busy. But, in general, I don't want to watch too many of them, because I don't want to get tired of them.

Pretty often, with my kids. They really enjoy them and so do I.

As a kid, I watched a set of Disney features frequently.

Nowadays, I tend to space things out. The last time I saw Pinocchio before this past July was in December 2002. The last time I saw Alice in Wonderland was in 2005.

I plan on revisiting some Disney movies fairly soon.

It's pretty random how often I see them, but I usually try to "save" them for weekends and holidays/vacations. As some already have mentioned, I am afraid to watch the same movies over and over again, in case I should grow tired of them (not likely anyhow, but still;)

There are some of my Disney-movies that I have not seen in years, but I watch my superfavorites once a year I think. Sometimes it happens that I just watch the songs and the key scenes in the movies as well.

I watch them randomly. That is when I have time and feel like it. Lately I've been wanting to watch the movies I haven't seen in years, but first I have to find where all the VHS are XD I don't have any of them on DVD.

A little addition to our watching Disney last night. After watching "Swiss Family Robinson" we delightfully enjoyed Snowball Express, a film that I haven't watched in several years. Lots of fun. Our cartoons were limited to watching all the Chip 'n' Dale 'toons we have on DVD. Highlight of the night was "The Lone Chipmunks", which is on the DVD with "Davy Crockett and the River Pirates".

I've only seriously started getting into Disney movies for about a year, so before that I would say I didn't watch them that often, something like one or two a year! At the moment though, I would say I watch one at least every couple of weeks. Two or three at a time if I'm down

Usually one movie per week. And it is almost always Disney Animation or Pixar, and I've seen all of those films multiple times (yes, even Home on the Range).

Probably every other day. I watch them this much because I watch the movies I own, which are predominately Disney movies. But I still watch other studio's films at least once a week, so by no means am I limiting my viewings to Disney films.
