Her single "TiK ToK" is a guilty pleasure of mine. I can't stand Kesha as an artist or as a person, but this song is so addictive I can't help but enjoy it, especially when used in videos like this...

Tik Tok is totally a (guilty?) pleasure of mine. Months ago I looked up the video along with goofy ones like that. My son loved dancing to her music so that made it even more awesome.

Not so big on the Your Love is my Drug or whatever it's called, but it's okay.

That video was nothing short of GENIUS. (And who knew Shatner was such a hunk in his day?)

For me, "Blah Blah Blah" is the true guilty pleasure. "TiK ToK" is a good song with stupid lyrics. "Dinosaur" is a classic, nothing guilty about that pleasure - but I heard a version once with a kind of rock thrash every time she broke out into "D-I N-O S-A, u r a Dinosaur."

But, I'm a HUGE fan of "Your Love is My Drug"! Nothing even remotely guilty there, it's an amazing song. If "TiK ToK hadn't have been the track that gave her that puking party drinker persona, "Your Love is My Drug" could have given her a real career... All she'd need is a better album. I'm guessing whatever that new song is she's pimping is a response to the failure of "Take it Off" - a terrible song. One of the best music videos I've seen since Maroon 5's "Makes Me Wonder," but a truly bad song.

I freakin' LOVE Ke$ha! And most of the times I don't like any type of pop music. Not a guilty pleasure at all, I don't feel any form of guilt at all for liking her songs.

One of my favorite tracks from her album has got to be Hungover. It's different from her other songs, in a good way. It's still about getting drunk but in a very refined way, in comparison to her other songs. Blind is also a pretty nice song, shows that she can also sing about things other than getting drunk or hitting on men who are going through their midlife crisis. Which brings me to Dinosaur, which is sheer genius - it's like mixing singing and comedy (just like that other song she did, which isn't on her album: Paris Hilton's Closet). Party at a Rich Dudes House is also fun. Pretty straightforward, could've just as easily been another single. Another good one is Dancing With Tears in My Eyes, its the least grounded of all her songs, shows an emotional side. But my favorite track has got to be Animal. It's so good, and really shows that she can sing. Really inspiring. Why she didn't choose that one for a single is beyond me. VIP is also pretty good. Different, but still good. The beginning is quite mellow. Usually there's a really loud part in her songs, but that seems to be abscent here. Stephen seems to be a typical teenage girl/Taylor Swift song. The beginning almost sounds like an auto-tuned gospel song. I wonder who Stephen is? Judging from the song either an ass or gay. Backstabber is pretty forgettable. Nothing special.

As for the singles. At first I wasn't a fan of Blah, Blah, Blah - mainly because it was stuck in my head for so long up until the point where it drove me insane. I'm also not much of a fan of 3OH!3, and the lyrics are a little too trashy for my taste, case in point: "(..) come put a little love in my glove box (...)". But either way, its grown on me a bit since then. TiK ToK was also pretty annoying when it was on the radio at least twenty times a day, but it's still an entertaining song. Plus I like the video a lot. Your Love is My Drug is a lot different than her first two singles. It begins calm, and builds up to the refrain. A little repetitive though. The lyrics are humorous, as always... "I like your beard". The video is awesome, a little '80s, with the crazy animation throughout. All the while singing to a guy who seems to resemble Jesus a lot. Genius. Take It Off is another disco-y song. Very catchy. I like the beat. The first video is a little... different. No glitter. A giant 'meeting' -to keep it clean- in an empty swimming pool. The second one is weird. Almost cult-like. Pretty awesome. I like the glow-in-the-dark body paint. I'm a little torn up about the whole turning into felines/drinking magic potions, but I guess it's because her album's called Animal. Of course cat-like creatures hunt in the dark, so that could be a reason.

Anyway, while her songs may not be the most suffisticated of everything out there, they are pretty entertaining if nothing else. People seem to give her crap mostly for the extensive use of auto-tune. At this point every artist uses auto-tune to some extent. At least she's not a hypocritical zealot who sprays foam out of her juggs in a candyland version of Wizard of Oz.

I don't think all is lost. Some people probably like that persona... the cookie cutter image is kind of boring imo.

I personally don't like her at all. She doesn't really sing, and even though some of her songs are catchy, that still doesn't replace the fact that she is in fact talking. Plus, apparently all she thinks about is money, considering that she put the $ in her name. To say the least, I'm not a fan.

I agree. I just despise to even hear her "try" to sing. No matter how good the songs might have been, they automatically fail with her as the voice.

There's this really mean forum that I sometimes read (because it can be funny). They always call her Kei$hit. Childish, yes, but it always makes me laugh.

I actually like that she's not trying to be serious. And - who gives a crap if she can't sing? What ever happened to fun music where people didn't have to be great singers? If I cared so much about great singing, I'd be one of those sad dweebs who watch Glee or American Idol.

Hey, some of us "sad dweebs" watch Glee (can't speak for American Idol fans) and are not that obsessed over the quality of the music we listen . Generalizations are not needed.

In my case, I just listen to music that gets me going, regardless of actual quality. There are many songs in my list that qualify as HUGE guilty pleasures, because they are either dumb or the artist is just dumb. I just don't like how Kesha presents herself in the music (which may be an act).

Her songs are pretty much typical of what is on the market today. Yes, some of the tunes are catchy, but the lyrics are horrible and we can't tell if she is a good singer or not, because she won't even attempt it. This parody pretty much sums up my feelings about her.

The smiley face is confusing, isn't it? (there it is again!).

I'm not THAT angry about it, and thought it was funny, but it did kind of bothered me deep down, since I did recently discover Glee and mentioned earlier that I didn't like Kesha but that I liked some of her songs.

Sorry if I looked like a very touchy guy. I actually don't mind if people like her, since I am no music expert and I ain't one to criticize tastes in music.

Yes, I watch Glee and American Idol because, in today's music world where everything is repetitive, the one saving grace is people who have good voices. It's the reason I don't care for people like Katy Perry or Keisha (although I will say that Perry is a better singer--and that's really putting Keisha down).

Sorry. I know it's so very offensive that I don't want to listen to hacks and robotic noises try to stumble through a "song."

I can't see why people shouldn't enjoy songs from Kesha. They're fun. In a mindless drunk way. It's not like she's claiming to be the second coming of Jesus. And judging by the album sales, a lot of people don't seem to care that she's not the second coming of Jesus.

From what I can gather, every song on Glee is recorded with auto-tune. No 'raw' voices -'real' talent- to be found, so when they do it on their show - 'robotic voices' are okay? If I were to guess, the only reason artists agree to have their songs on Glee is because it boosts iTunes sales.

Just to let everybody know, everyone auto-tunes. It's not like Glee is the sole perpetrator. And just because the actors on the show are auto-tuned doesn't mean they're actually not singing. The auto-tune is simple, well, to automatically tune the notes. Sure it's unnecessary, and I haven't the foggiest as to why they are doing it, but they are tuning their voices just the same. All of the people on the show can sing, I don't understand how people don't understand that.

Anyway, Ke$ha's songs may be fun and catchy, but when I hear a song I would kind of like to hear someone singing (that's why I don't like rap "songs"). A lot of recording artists today can't sing worth crap, and yet they're still making boat-loads of cash. Kind of the same deal with athletes? They get paid millions of dollars just so they can catch a football and run, hit a baseball with a bat or dunk a basketball into a net. To me, that makes absolutely no sense. But now I'm getting off-topic. Ke$ha just can't sing. Period. And I don't really appreciate people who think they are singers, but really aren't. I guess that's probably why I like Broadway so much. They have to be able to sing otherwise they won't be in the show.

Alright, time to get a little serious here...

Like I said earlier, I don't like Kesha, but enjoy some of her songs are guilty pleasures. But do I object to people liking her? Of course not. People have the right to listen to whatever they want regardless of what anyone says. If people want dumb music to listen to while driving, singing at a karaoke bar or just doing chores around the house. If people want to be enlightened there's music for that too.

I will agree that to a certain extend some of the hate artists hate is stupid. To me, it all comes from the fact that the "internet" decided its OK to make fun of them because they made a cool parody video. It's almost like sheep mentality going on. Justin Bieber is popular? Let's throw a water bottle at him and make a great song about it.

I mean, I can see why people would be annoyed about it. Pop culture has the tendency of forcing acts, trends and thoughts down people's throats, and people that opposite it charge back with mock and ridicule. But should we really be THAT upset about it? I think not.

I remember the dumb pop artists that were around my era, with their repetitive lyrics and mind numbing beats. And guess what? We liked them! So clearly, this isn't anything new, and I do find it silly how people condemn the death of music today when "fake" music has been around forever...

Anyone remember these guys?

Obviously you gathered wrong. The only reason auto-tune is ever used is because the show is done on a weekly basis. They have to sing 5 to 7 songs for every show, while also doing choreography, acting, etc. The only reason it's used at all is because they don't have the time to record, and re-record 20 billion times like most music artists who have a year or 2 between albums. But that in no way means the artists can't sing.

There's only a few select songs where the auto-tune is used to an extreme degree, and it's usually with only one or two of the weaker singers. For the rest, it's only used to "help," not to re-do the whole song a la Perry, Paris Hilton, or Keisha.

Besides, to say that they can't sing is doing a disservice to Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth, who've both starred on the show and we obviously know can sing. (Not to mention the live performances of many of the actors on the show that prove they are just as good live as on the show).
