Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has uploaded two Blu-ray trailers to its YouTube page, confirming the schedule for the classic animated titles that will come out on Diamond Edition Blu-ray next year. Bambi will be released in the spring of 2011, and The Lion King in the fall. Edition details are still pending.

If those dates hold, 2010 will see two Disney classics released on Diamond Editions. In 2010, only Beauty and the Beast has received that treatment, as Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 are being released in a mere special edition.

There is still no word about a North American release of Dumbo, which was released in most territories in early 2010 but was postponed in the US and Canada. It is expected for BD release in early 2011 (though not in a Diamond Edition). For more details, see Blu-ray.com, February 4.

I can't wait for next year to own these great films!!! Bambi, Lion King, Alice & Dumbo. Will be a great year for moi!!!

Plus I'm still looking forward for Toy Story 3 & Fantasia/Fantasia 2000, which come out next month!

I'm still bummed that they didn't add a new Diamond, since they took Aladdin out, and decided not to release Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 as a Diamond. Can they at least put Aladdin back in?

Ever since they showed Aladdin, Tarzan, and Lion King in the Enchanted trailer Ive been waiting. I cant believe how amazing they looked in HD.

Yay for going back to a spring and fall release schedule. Releasing everything in the last 3 or 4 months of the year takes its toll on the wallet.
