Chilean Miners Rescue

I am watching the broadcast of the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners that were underground for nearly two months. They just rescued two of them so there are 31 to go.
This may be the most broadcasted event in Latin America yet. I don't know about the US, though. People are very emotional in here.
I hope they are all rescued by tomorrow.

And Canucks drilled the rescue shaft.

I also heard that NASA was also involved, so nearly the whole world is rescuing them.
I may be exaggerating in my idealistic thoughts, but this is a cool thing going on.

The fourth one is out!
There is some bad news, though. The capsule they are using is getting damaged, and might complicate the rescue efforts

. I think everything will work out, though.
I was telling my parents that this would make an amazing movie if done right. Imagine, 33 men, each with their own stories, trying for survive for two months underground, and are given a second chance at life.
Again, amazing.

That's why you always should build more than one.

15 rescued so far! They are half-way there!
A funny story, however, surfaced out of this. You see, one of the miners was having an affair behind his wife's back. And it turns out that the two women are waiting for him... they even fought on the site and everything!
Man, I am sure that guy actually wants to stay below ground. If all the previous encounters were heartwarming and touching, I bet this one is going to be AWKWARD...
He goes up at 5 PM !

I just read about this as they pulled up Miner #18. Amazing story.
And pap, maybe that guy will be the last to be pulled up, and by then both women will be so grateful he's alive that they'll both run up to him screaming and crying. At least I hope so.

I hope so, too. In my honest opinion, if I was one of the women I would ignore the infidelity issue and focus on the man. This is just one of those moments in life where you need to put your differences aside and be grateful for life.

What the Chilean government didn't show us. The "real" footage from the mine:

That would explain why they were so healthy despite being stuck underground for two months

Clearly the one that appears happy is the one with the mistress.

I heard about this yesterday. I am surprised that they were able to survive that long down there (obivously, other people helped them).

Yay, they all got out!
I read an article about the miner's mistress, and apparently he and his wife had been temporarily separated for a while, and it was during this time he met the mistress.

This is very silly. Yesterday, Namco issued a cute Mr. Driller wallpaper CELEBRATING the fact that the miners were rescued and are alive and well.
... They pulled it from their site. They deemed it offensive...
This is what the picture looked like:

This is stupid. I mean, the image was cute. The rescue was a magnificent event where 33 men were given a second chance at life. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE CELEBRATED!
I mean, there are people making mean spirited jokes about 9/11, people talking IN FAVOR of the kids that bullied those gay kids, and yet a cute wallpaper celebrating a great victory IS OFFENSIVE?
What the hell?
WHAT...THE...HELL...
