WDW's first Mickey, Doug Parks dies at 60

The man widely believed to be the first Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World has died.

Doug Parks of Gotha died Aug. 29. He was 60.

I know it's way late, but he died too young, I think. Was Parks the one dressed as Mickey when Roy O. Disney dedicated Walt Disney World in 1971?

And here I was thinking that Mickey is always played by a female in the parks. At least Parks isn't the only male to assume that honor.
