Happy UD Birthday Matt!!!
This just made me go check when I first joined the forum. I joined on Feb 9, 2005. That means my i'm like 5 1/2. That's so weird to me lol.
you should go look through all the posts you've made. I just went and read my first 20 or so. It's so funny because it seems like so long ago. What's also weird is that some of my first posts were about Disney doing Rapunzel. All of us at UD have known about this project for THAT long!

And on December 4, 2005, it'll be your 5th birthday under the
account you accidentally started when you forgot about this one!
Egads, how do I still remember that?
Anyways, happy UDBirthday, Matt! There aren't many 03ers still hanging around (aside from the UD staff and mods), so it's nice that we've still got some posting on a regular basis!

I can't check mine after the first page. It just says "No topics or posts met your search criteria"

Same here. I guess we've posted too much!
Happy UD/DVD birthday, Matt!
I can't believe we're approaching the 10th anniversary of the site (Angelfire edition) in January!

I just checked the overall top posters, and it looks like the top 6 posters can't check their posts past the first page!

What an odd forum feature.

I wasn't a part of UD during the Angelfire Edition, but through some relentless internet searching and the wonderful Wayback Machine, I finally found it:
UltimateDisney, circa late 2002
The current url
still works too!
And it's interesting to see the forum (this one) in its early stages:
UltimateDisney.com/forum (condom free!)
The "condom boards" are also on Wayback:
UltimateDisney's Discussion Board (no condoms were archived)
I have too much time on my hands tonight.
But it was a lot of fun seeing UD in its earliest stages!

Happy 7-Year Anniversary, Matt!
Let's see.... I've been on the forums for nearly four years, but I've used the Home Page since 2004! Wow, time flies!

*bursts into the happy anniversary song*
Woah, technically speaking it was my seventh anniversary too just a few weeks ago (I just looked and realized I first joined August 22, 2003)!

Now granted I wasn't an immediate poster (I didn't have internet at home back then) but this is definitely the oldest surviving forum I've actively been a part of.
*looks at the wayback machine links* Wow, I do remember when there was a General Discussion section that stated "All topics related to Disney movies and DVDs go here."

Happy 7th, Matt (and enigmawing)! Mine will be coming up shortly as well.
Thanks for digging up those old pages, Escapay. It really shows us how much Luke rocks.

@ Luke!

Happy 7th UD Anniversary Matt!
I've been here since late Summer 2005 when the magical prestigious Cinderella Platinum was coming out...so I guess it'll be about 6 years for me! You beat me! Lol!
So happy you and I have stuck around here so long, here's to forever! But not posting every single day forever, just still apart of this thing forever!

I remember replying to your introduction post in the Just Wondering thread with a jokey bit pretending to speak Russian (I used an online translator) and you believed me for a bit. Hee hee...
I joined in 2004 and felt quite young for a bit. How things change, it seems that I'm one of the older members (in terms of UD years). I forgot about my six year anniversary back in June, so I'll just have to wait until 23rd June 2011 to remind everyone of my seventh.

Same here. I used to be a frequent poster on a few other boards, but eventually ended up just settling on posting here and FromScreentoTheme. It's like a family here, even if we get wacky and nasty every so often.
Sunny Wing wrote:*looks at the wayback machine links* Wow, I do remember when there was a General Discussion section that stated "All topics related to Disney movies and DVDs go here."
I remember that time too! It was pre-DVDizzy, and the addition of non-Disney reviews necessitated the name change to Disney Discussion, along with the splitting up Off-Topic into General DVD Discussion and Movies, Music & TV.
I remember being very excited when Theme Parks finally got their own forum. It was like a new place to play!
pinkrenata wrote:Thanks for digging up those old pages, Escapay. It really shows us how much Luke rocks.
He does! And to think, he'll have been maintaining the internet's go-to site for Disney for ten years come January!
Disney Duster wrote:I've been here since late Summer 2005 when the magical prestigious Cinderella Platinum was coming out...
I remember you e-mailed me asking about making screen caps, along with all the legal issues behind it. Amazing how far we've all come since then.
Where's that 500-page
Cinderella essay you always talk about? It's been 5 years, boy!
Wondy wrote:I joined in 2004 and felt quite young for a bit.
I remember disliking your penchant to bump topics incessantly to offer one-line replies.

Now you've become one of the best posters on the forum. Even when people tell you that you shouldn't talk about the classics on a forum like this.
Deepest apologies to Matt for hijacking his thread by talking about UD memories. But to not leave you out: I actually remember chatting with you in UD chat (before you returned as BATBfan1), and realizing you were "THE Matt" that was the talk of the forum about shortly after I joined.

Congratulations! Oldie....
Haha, just kidding. In fact I'm nearing my fifth anniversary in a couple of months (which is hard to believe; have I really been on here for FIVE years already?). Anniversaries are fun! But don't party too hard!

Wow
Wondy I strangely do not remember that...
Oh, now I looked back and you weren't pretending to be fluent in Russian, but I did think you might know it!
Hm, I wrote back then I hope no one would think my posts were too long or too critical...and I still worry about that today!
Yes
Scaps and
Matt, we are like a big ol' family here! And we sometimes fight! And then we make up because we wuv each other!
Escapay wrote:Where's that 500-page Cinderella essay you always talk about? It's been 5 years, boy!
It's actually 130 pages right now but when I realized I repeated a lot of points I think I can stop and I will dwindle it down into a "people might actually read this" version for the forum. Also I am awaiting a copy of the unrestored film for a full check over everything in the movie as untainted as I feel it could be (it was restored once before the DVD, looked less drastic).

Wow.

I didn't realize you were such an old member of the forum, Matt. I thought you must've registered a while after me.
Not very observant, am I?

Thanks everyone!
Guess what?!?!?
I am actually older then 7 years here as well!
I was on the Angelfire Edition Forum as well!
So I must be hitting 10 years! And WOW!
Never thought I would be on a forum for this long.
This is like my second home. Even though I don't come on here to put out all my business lol. You guys are here for me, which is awesome!

I am as well
I am an old fart now!
