Man, I'm very excited for this movie! It has that old fashion kind of feel with the character designs and music.

Wow I'm also looking forward to this one even more! I REALLY like the music and I think the movie is going to be one of the best movies of Disney's time now (together with Brother Bear). Is Disney improving anyway?

I just noticed yesterday that this one is actually rated "PG".
When's the last time a Disney Animated Classic garnered a PG rating, or has it ever happened?

Glad everybody is looking forward to this one like me!

I think Slim is going to be a very memorable villain! He has a great character design, and great voice actor (Randy Quaid). His yodeling song seems cool too!

As for Disney animated features rated PG, here's the list:

Well, I'm not gonna miss this film not even if the cow coughs. :-p

The Black Cauldron was rated PG "for some scary images" in 1985 and was the first animated classic to recieve a rating higher than G.

While it's not considered an animated classic, the next Disney animated release to get a PG was the summer 2000 CGI/live action combo Dinosaur. That was for "for intense images."

Atlantis: The Lost Empire was rated PG "for action violence."

Lilo & Stitch was rated PG "for mild sci-fi action." (This is the only one I disagree with. I think L&S is G material, and if it wasn't, the reason is for the subplot considering Lilo possibly being taken away from Nani, not for the action.)

Treaasure Planet for "adventure action and peril."

Home on the Range is PG for "for brief mild rude humor." (Read: for the line "Yeah, they're real. Quit staring.")

Edit: Heh - beaten to it by others; probably because I took the time to look up the rating reasons from the MPAA.

Yeah, I forgot about Dinosaur...but then again I don't include that in the animated classics list.

I think I read somewhere that the only reason why Home on the Range is rated PG is that "Yeah, they're real" line Maggie (Roseanne) says...which ironically they show in the preview trailers.

Anyway, this movie is going to be great...the only thing I can think of that can hurt its chance at success is its April release date. I have never seen an animated movie released in April perform very good. I mean, I know why they released it in the spring season...Shrek II is going to eat the competition when it is released in May. Is everybody going to bust a moo April 2?

And about the site - Exellent. I love the music samples. Evidently, Alan Menken is as great here as he ever was. Shame they don't give a date for the soundtrack. "Soon" is so bleak. I know it'll be a couple weeks before the movie, but I'd still like to know. Love the pics and character info. Shame the desktop wallpapers aren't up yet.

wow... looks like im gonna bust a moo six times lol... at least, it looks beyond aewesome... and I love that song Little Patch Of Heaven, I havent been this excited about a Disney movie since Hercules

Wow..I had no idea so many of those past films were actually PG.
I just assumed since they were Disney, well, they were G...especially Lilo & Stitch.

amazon.com says March 30... I couldnt find any further info, i dont know where Chernabog got his info though, maybe there is a tracklist available somewhere

Edit: Went there, and it is indeed up now. Same dat as Brother Bear DVD and just a few days before the movie. Oy, expensive week, but great!

Very cool site. The music reminds me of the stuff they play for background music in Disneyland - and I love that. As far as I'm concerned, this movie's going to have the beest music in it since Pocahontas.

heh, I'm going to bust something trying to see this movie. after all, Big Al is back! ( Alan Menken for those who didn't know ) maybe he'll do music for Rapunzel *shrugs*

and of course the last 2D film for a while. though I don't know at this point if Don Bluth's Dragon's Lair is still set for release sometime ( but that's not Disney oh well,)
