Just from the poster, I get a "Who's the Boss?" remake vibe...

That's what I thought when I heard the premise. I wonder how much of a role the children will play...

I personally didn't see anything outstanding in the clips, and I wonder how long it will last.
Of course, knowing the networks, anything completely original, well-written, and outstanding will be killed off in a season or two (like Pushing Daisies), or even killed before it's aired even a couple of episodes...
Anything that's more of the same, poorly written, and just plain dreck gets 9-10 seasons or more (not that I'm saying that Melissa and Joey falls in this class...)

Melissa looks freakin' GOOD though. A lot of folks are already saying it's a rip off of Who's the Boss, and the show even referenced Charles in Charge. Hmm. Anyway, I hope it turns out better than just a rehash because they're a likable pair. I don't know about together, but maybe...

It’s a hit! ABC Family’s Melissa & Joey takes 2nd place in Entertainment Weekly’s Top 10 Things We Love This week (just behind Avatar returning to theaters). Tuesday night the show drew 1.922 million viewers, which is down from the premiere last week – but not much. (source: TV By The Numbers)
Hopefully it does good when all the Fall TV shows comes back.

I may try this out, just becuase it kind of has a feel of the great half hour sitcoms of my youth and I'd very much love to get behind an other show like that that is new.

I like the show but I'm going to wait for the Complete 1st Season instead.
