I'm interested in starting my own Disney DVD collection... mostly because the ones my family owns are very old VHS we never watch any more, and I may be moving out on my own within the next two years. But I'm on a tight budget. The best buy near me had a bunch of titles for $15 and I got one or two but I wanted to find something even better if possible.

I assume it's best to pick the special-2 disc editions for the $1.99 promo and possibly the bonus $15 one? But other than saying the other 4 or 5 must be regular priced you can't actually see what those prices are. Below are the movies I'm interested in (first list are the bigger priority ones for me, I don't plan to buy all of these by any means). I was thinking of just getting what I wanted for the deal and then canceling.

1. In general, how much do they cost between special 2 disc editions and regular?

2. Are there free shipping deals if I waited to buy the regularly priced four all at once?

It depends on how good the promotion to join is as to how cheep it ends up. I have in the past joined, filled my commitment, and then left and later end up doing it all over again. To fill the commitment, you have to but like four or five at $19.99 a DVD or $29.99 a Blu Ray, so I find it best to add up your total price and divide it by how many movies you are getting.

To answer you second question as well as a word of warning, the free shipping is only on the first order, not the rest. Once you are in, and defiantly once you have filled your commitment, there are some nice deals that pop up, and the prices are good or bad, depending on the timing.

They do have the slip covers, in fact they even sell slip covers for films that didn't have them originally.

I went ahead and joined. There's enough movies I thought I would want and figured the deal would be worth it. I got my first batch of movies. I'm a bit tight on money without a job so I may be wait out a bit on the rest. How rare is a special deal for free shipping?

I almost went for the Beauty and the Beast blu-ray but thought it would be better with that $10 off coupon I found if you owned it previously... so I guess I'll judge each option as it comes by.

Thanks for the tip about the slip covers! That's good to know. I've gotten rather fond of them with the DVDs.
