Since it seems Disney gone Anniversary crazy with Alice's 60th coming up, and Cauldron's 25th this Sept. Do you think Disney might get there act together and give B&B its DVD edition so truly deserves?

They just gave Bedknobs and Broomsticks a DVD release less than a year ago, so that can be almost a definite no unless they do a Blu-exclusive release...

I would doubt it unless they do a Blu ray given they already Re-released Bedknobs and Broomsticks on DVD - though I agree it's not even hardly an upgrade at all...if anything its a down grade in bonus features compared to it's original dvd release

The only way we'd know for sure is if they said so

Anniversary crazy yes - but let's not forget that Disney's always had a habit of overlooking this movie. I'll pray for a Blu release anyway...

Any mention of a 40th Anniversary anything before the end of the year?

In Disney's time of Anniversaries they are always a year behind or visa versa
As when Lady and the Tramp had it's 50th Anniversary/ Platinum Edition DVD was a year ahead when it was released....

Yeah, I really don't know why they had to pretend it was an Anniversary. Just the words "Platinum Edition" are supposed to mean something alone, since they already had one hell of a line going and a lot of positive response.

I'm guessing B&B will get passed by yet again, while in three years time Poppins will undoubtedly get a 50th Anniversary overhaul.

They've been working on the hi-def restoration of Mary Poppins for awhile, so that's already in the cards.
Given that Bedknobs and Broomsticks got a DVD re-release two years ago, with the same transfer and less bonus features than before, I don't think they'll revisit the title on Blu-Ray in the near future. But I'd certainly loved to be proven wrong.
I'd also love if they found the missing audio tracks so we don't have to hear notCharlie say "mango wuzzle?" like a five year old.

The 40th Anniversary is probably Disney last chance to get Angela involved in any features.

well, i for one wish they would have allowed those deleted scenes from the latest edition to have been optional to play in the movie...the dubbing is horrible!!!!!!!! sadly the scenes do little to advance the movie or add anything either...i think it is great that we are seeing them..but, they are embarassing when added to the movie as a whole.

I’d love to see a restored version much like A Star Is Born (1954). Use stills and the soundtrack if that’s all that’s left.

^ Same! Or at least make the 30th Anniversary DVD's version of the film available on Blu-ray at least.

I saw this movie at the theater as a kid during one of its re-releases, and loved it. I have read some of the comments from the critics on Wikipedia from when the movie was fresh, and what many of them fail to understand is that it was made for children.
