Anyone remember this animated movie from Fox? It was so good I thought it was a Disney movie throughout my child years.

I loved it as a child and I remember like 6 years ago I recorded it off Disney Channel and I watched it this morning and it was just as wonderful as it was 7-6 years ago. I remember Thumbelina's voice is by Judie Benson (?), the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I suggest checking it out, very good movie, just like Fox's other movie a couple of years ago, Anastasia.

I think it was released by Warner, not Fox.
However, it is directed by Don Bluth, who also directed Anastasia.

Yeah it was Warner Brothers. That was one great movie. I really liked the Frogs. And the grass hopper was funny too. It was an adorable family comedy. I bought that movie when it came out on VHS.

I thought Thumbelina was quite sweet. Although it took a lot of creative liberties, it also stuck quite well to the original story.

Omggg! I would watch my Thumbelina VHS every day. I loved it so, so very much. Especially the scene with the singing frogs (and also when Thumbelina's in that crazy outfit, performing along with them).
I now want the DVD... for memory's sake. (:

I enjoyed the movie but I haven't seen it since it was on pay-per-view when it was pretty new. I can't say I remember too much about it but it was certainly enjoyable.
Maybe one day I'll get it on DVD.

I actually remember seeing this in cinemas back in 1994. I liked it back then but have only seen it one or two times since then and not once past the age of 11. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, but I have this gut feeling it's gonna be really really bad looking at the reviews on Rottentomatoes.com and IMDb.

				Thumbelina Soundtrack

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could possibly get me the soundtrack (well, mp3s). I love this movie, though I can't believe it got a Razzie, and would really like it if someone could get me the songs. I've only been able to get 8 of the 19 songs so far, and would appreciate it if I could get the rest. If anyone could help, maybe you have the CD or could possibly rip the songs from something, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

I do remember the movie being a bit kiddish ... not quite so mature as the Disney features. But the music is certainly lovely. I believe "Marry the Mole" got a Razzie. I actually think it's quite pleasant and bouncy. And "Let Me be your Wings" is so haunting it makes me orgasmic*. Gene Siskel said that the music is poor. I'm surprised.
Sorry I can't help you with the MP3s
Sequel. Hope somebody else can.

Can we turn this into a Thumbelina discussion thread?
*figure of speech

Oh,i can't stand this movie, agreed with Julian Carter,it's a very childish movie, unlike Disney's and Pixar's films,in fact-i think all Don Bluth's films are childish and i don't like them, exept Anastasia which is kinda nice (baiscly Anastasia's quotes) but is also very childish (espically those parts when Anastasia and Dimitri are fighting like 5 years old children),anyway i hate Don Bluth.
The song are the only thing that save this movie (only Let Me Be Your Wings (or my spoff-Let My Be Your B****) and Soon, the rest are lame,no wonder it got a razzie and don't even get my started on Jacqimo, the most patatich character that animation ever created).
