Disney to turn "Lemonade Mouth" into a movie

(FOX Providence) - If you haven't heard of "Lemonade Mouth" yet, you're going to very soon.
The children's book is about to be made into a movie by Disney, and the story is set in Rhode Island.

From what I can make out of it, it's going to be more uninspired Disney Channel fare about (fill in random teenager here) who suddenly finds fame and fortune. Only now there's five of 'em. Yes!!!

"Lemonade Mouth", the story of five high schoolers who meet in detention and form a band. The film is expected to premiere in 2011.
I'm sorry but that sounds ridiculously brainless (I didn't want to use stupid). Then again, that's kind of the basis for
The Breakfast Club (minus the singing), so maybe it's not that dumb after all (but it sure seems to be).

that title... I was gonna say something about it, but I'm just not gonna do it.
I'm pretty sure we all agree it's a pretty stupid title. Having said that, I really wish the quality was high on this. But looking at the past, I doubt it will be. It annoys me that entertainment aimed at kids these days is so... what's the word... insanely awful? I wish they'd stop throwing clichés at kids, they're not stupid and if Disney put in some effort these kids don't have to grow up and look back with shame at the stuff they used to enjoy.
