Yeah, I was riding to school and they said: "Ricky Martin makes a big announcement." And I knew he'd come out. I mean, honestly, who didn't know already?

Wow, I honestly thought he came out way back in like 1999 or something.

He already said it was bi to Barbra Walters.... But yeah, I'm hoping for him. He's still hot.

Yeah, a lot of people had suspected it and frequently joked about it. But understand that is difficult for Latin American men (Latino/Hispanic, whatever term) or men of color in general, who are LGBT, to come out. It has much to do with cultural and god-awful, unrealistic expectations from Latinos of what makes a man a man. Don't care if that's a generalization 'cuz it's pretty true coming from a culture that glorifies machoism.

He'll only come out online. And by way of something he wrote in a foreign language. And, to boot, on a fansite.

He must either be really busy (can't imagine why) or as afraid of scrutiny from the Latino community as you suggest Aqua.
