I do not know what to say. At least he lived a pretty long life.

RIP Davey.

Corey Haim, Peter Graves & Fess Parker. Celebrity deaths DO come in threes.

RIP Davy.

You'll always be a hero to us Fess. You're a great American. We love you.

I didn't even know who Fess was until I saw this. May he rest in peace. :(

But if God decides to take people like Alan Menken, Dick Van Dyke, Julie Andrews or Angela Lansbury away this year and so soon, I'll be a frickin' mess. :(

Very sad.

I will always credit Parker and "Davy Crockett" for introducing me to Disney's wonderful live action library after I purchased the wave 1 Crockett treasure.

Thank you for all your wonderful work, Fess. You will be missed.

I am not so sure how sad. We should all be so lucky to live the life he did. RIP and thanks for the memories. I think I will play Davey Crockett with my son tonight. Seemed like one of the few Hollywood types that was actually a cool guy.

RIP Davey Crockett

Didn't they give Fess a window on Main Street in Disneyland a few years ago?

Sorry to hear this sad news.

Yes, he has a window. In a cool and appropriate touch, it can be found in Frontierland. Here's a link:

Fess will continue to live as we know him as long as his work lives on. Take the time to buy and enjoy his work and what he gave the world, and if you have kids pass it on to them. What better tribute is there then that?
