Uhh...I already got a DSi and am sticking with it.besides I don't want to give up my games that are already on my current one anyway....but I think this is mainly for people who havn't got one yet and this might entice them more....but really...at one time we wanted stuff smaller and now bigger then smaller now big big big hence the Ipad....Bigger and smaller screens...it changes ever so often...just like Coke or Pespsi...Mcdonalds or Burger King...Margarine healthier or Butter healthier...too hot or too cold....

I still need to upgrade to a DSi from my regular, old DS. Even though this is coming out near my birthday, I think I'll stick with trying to get a DSi. I don't want to put pressure on my parents to get something that's coming out only two weeks away from it.

Have you heard rumors about them supposedly getting out a DS 2?

Not to pick on DS specifically, but isn't the way they pump out updated game systems beyond insane? It seems like every 3 months, there's a new version that you have to buy in order to play the newest games on. It's ridiculus.

yeah....it seems Nintendo or any bussiness has picked up the habits of an Ipod....people would say...oh you bought last week's ipod this weeks is better because they increased the size by .1 cm or something

im sticking with my fat DS. these choices arent doing anything to get MY money.

Yeah, I'm keeping my DS Lite. I didn't see any point to the DSi and now I really don't see any point to the DSi XL. Sure it has a bigger screen, but unless your blind, the DS Lite screen is perfectly adequate. I'm not wasting my money. Plus, I still like playing my GBA games on my DS Lite (another reason why I didn't want the DSi).

I'll wait for something completely new... these upgrades aren't for me.

A new Hand-held platform isn't even on the radar yet. If it was there is no way Nintendo would be putting Pokemon 5 on the DS systems like they have announced already, so don't hold your breath for a DS2 anytime soon.

But these upgrades really are pointless unless you have a lot of trouble seeing the bottom screen already.

And wow do the color choices for DSi XL suck or what?

The bigger design and screens are tempting, but since I rarely use my DS Lite now its probably not a good ideal for me to upgrade.

Well, I might still consider a DSi XL since not everybody will want to get one. The one thing that would hinder it besides time would be the price.

I just need to upgrade from my old DS badly. It has trouble even starting up my older DS games.

This gets my vote for Most Pointless Redesign of a Gaming Console. I am perfectly fine with my current DSi and do not need a bigger sceen for it.

The price for XL is higher than a DSi, so I decided not to get one. I'll be happy enough with a regular DSi.
