Best Picture Nominees

For the very first time I have seen more than two of the yearly Best Picture Oscar Nominees, and so I think I can make a pretty objective opinion about what deserves to win. I have seen 4 out of the 5 up for the award.
The nominees I've seen are:
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Lost In Translation
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Seabiscuit
This is the first time in I don't know how long where I actually think the right films have been nominated. My favorite of these is Return of the King, but I also think it is the film that truly deserves it. While the others are all good films, ROTK just seems to be on an entirely different level. The others are great films. ROTK is a BRILLAINT film. I haven't seen Mystic River but cannot imagine it topping ROTK. Now whether it wins is another story. The Academy hasn't in my opinion always been right, especially in recent years awarding Shakespeare in Love over Saving Private Ryan. I thought both were excellent but Ryan was better. Of course this is just my opinion.
I'm not going to get my hopes up, but if ROTK does not win I will be very sad. In the grand scheme of things I suppose it's not that important, but it would be wonderful if Lord of the Rings finally gets the recognition it so deserves.
I would like to hear other peoples thoughts on this.
