This makes me really angry. I mean, what is the purpose of spying on the kids at home?!? Really, that's illegal. I mean, there could be pictures of kids getting undressed on those webcams, and private conversations. I hope the school district gets sued for a lot of money. :headshake:

I hope so, too. That's just sick, and there's no reason for that. And it's pretty scary, too. I mean, Big Brother could be watching at any moment....

I heard this on my local news, which is a bit unsettling for me since I don't live that far away from where this happened. I hope the school gets sued for every penny they're worth. It's just disgusting that teachers thought they had the right to pry into the students' lives and see what they were doing.

I read about this on MSN. Just incredibly creepy, and, well, wrong.

I understand potentially (stupidly) good intentions, but for obvious reasons, this is wrong.

Improper Behaviour at home? Gosh, they didn't even have the right to spy their students AT school. And I can't even see any good intentions. It's bad enough that there are metal detectors in some schools. The US really should think about their own issues till they compare other democracies with North Korea or China!

You know, if I ever get a company-issued laptop that happens to have a built-in webcam, I'm putting a piece of electrical tape over the lens. :p

I think someone at that school read 1984 once too much.

Well, Orwell wasn't really too off on his propaganda, was he?
