'Internal Server Error'

I've been getting this message very often lately when I want to access the forum. 'blackcauldron1985' has also mentioned this in another thread, so I'm not the only one. Also, UD is the only site that gives me this problem. The message says I have to contact webmaster@ultimatedisney.com, but when I do, I get a 'delivery failure notification' in my mailbox.

I hope the mods at UD can do something to fic this problem.

Is there really nobody who wants to answer to this? Not even a moderator or an admin? I got the message 6 times in the last 2 days.

I've been posting about it in other threads, but, yeah, it's been happening a lot for me, too.

Lol I thought there was just problem with my internet provider, even if it only happened on UD. Well that's good I know it's not my internet provider :P.

To clarify further: this is about this message:

"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ultimatedisney.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Did any of you try to send an e-mail to named adress? My mail just bounced back.

I didn't...I just posted about it in this Feedback section. Although in the past, I've just emailed Luke about it...

Okay, I've been in contact with the host and it appears that the problems have been the result of us hitting the site's memory limits. They've added more, so please let me know if these servor errors continue to occur for you.

If I can be a little brusque with a suggestion, considering I haven't always been a favorite member here...

Someone recently started a counting / countdown thread. Yes, counting numbers. And if that isn't one of the greatest wastes of space... than reply messages can't really take up any memory at all.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the thread (no offense to those playing the game)...I mean, at least with other games, we can kind of get to know each other better. And they're counting down from 10,000, I think...so, yeah, that will take up some needed memory...

I have getting the server error thing again. If memory is a problem we could get rid of unneeded threads. I had a lot of trouble just posting this small reply. So that thing is back up again and I don't know what to do.

I had that come up on me once so far today. Not bad compared to yesterday and the day before.

But yeah, the memory problems aren't over yet. I much suspect.

Thanks for the reports. The memory we're talking about is RAM, not disk space, so the number of frivolous threads doesn't really factor into this unless lots of people are accessing them constantly.

The extra memory would cost $11 a month*, so I think we'll need to not be getting any of these server errors for it to be worth it. I haven't been on the forum much, so I'm not sure how bad it's been at its worst?

* It'd be free if I could refer someone to my webhost. Anyone thinking of starting a website or switching hosts?

Who has such a sad, empty life as to participate in that kind of a thread? (And yes, that was meant as an insult.)

They haven't been that bad to me. They don't usually last that long for me. 2-10 minutes usually, 2 or 3 hours at the most. I don't think it's that big of a problem, tbh. Only a minor annoyance. I just go do other things when it happens, and come back later.

Edit: Not to be ironic or anything, but this happened to me just as I was about to post this. But it went away quick.

Happened to me a few times this morning. And it's happened quite often in the last month or so. Always thought it was just me.

They did something else that's supposed to stop this now. Let me know if you're still getting these.
