So, did everyone watch last night? I thought Victoria "Posh" Beckham was a nice addition, if only for a couple episodes (She's on again February 2.)

Mary J. Blige is guest judging tonight!

I watched it because my boyfriend was a PA on it. Then I remembered how it's been like eight years since I've seen the show, and how no one on it really excites me anymore. Except that one dickweed who kept sassing back Lady Judge. He was enjoyable.

+1

From all of the tweets and statuses I've seen, if that guy releases the song on iTunes, it'll go to #1 in seconds. Haha.

Posh added nothing.

Mary J added nothing.

Kara added nothing.

I miss Paula.

No one stands out for me at all yet, but the guy with cancer was in Kris' group in Hollywood last year and got cut in the "chair sessions".

Sorry about all your pain Widdi, just don't watch it and we will all be better off. The gentleman who is the cancer survivor, to the best of my knowledge and what I can read on the internet has never been on the show before, so you might check your sources. He was the one male 'bright spot' of the Monday night auditions.

Victoria Beckham was very insightful in her comments and I thought she added some very good points in the judging. Besides these are guest judges and that is that.

Mary J. Blige was brutally honest with those contestants she didn't like and did like. And that idiot at the end of the show, who had to be escorted off the set, and unloaded all the 'f' bombs, deserved everything that he didn't get. There was no call for that, and people like him are what give the US a bad name. Just because he thinks he is good, doesn't mean he is good, and he was so sold on himself and conceited, he wouldn't listen to anyone, and then went off making a total fool of himself with all the foul language.

We have four more weeks of Auditions and then we will get down to the business at hand of choosing the final 24 and then it is game on.

Also, I am glad to hear that "Idol Gives Back" is going to have a special show again this year. With all the turmoil going on, especially in Haiti, we need to be given a chance to help those more unfortunate than us.

It just wouldn't be a Season of Idol without our bickering, you know that. 8)

That old man could really break it down! And that song is so catchy! I've been singing that song all day!

I agree with you about Paula, Widdi. I always watch the "auditioning' episodes pretty off-hand, but the judges seemed kind of...quiet this season. I didn't realize how much Paula added to keep the table alive, and also to keep them from going too far (I found them a little over-cruel at times). Kara still seems like dead weight to me. Randy's always been, but at least he's familiar at this point.

And, yeah, the guest judges? I was really looking forward to them, but they rarely said anything. It was more like watching celebrities make funny faces.

I hate to be negative. Maybe the season'll pick up when it gets to the actual show. And hopefully Ellen will bring something that can help me overlook the missing Paula-factor.

It's been a long time since an "audition" has spawned such talk around the world, but "Pants on the Ground" has done just that. If any of you watched any of the football games this weekend you will have seen Brett Favre, quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, leading the team in that song after their 'mauling' of the favored Dallas Cowboys.

Rumors have it that Simon is going to have that song recorded before the auditions are over with. Don't know if he has a particular artist in mind, but whomever he picks will have a giant hit on their hands.

"Pants on the Ground, pants on the ground, dressed like a fool, Pants on the ground"!!! Gotta be a very catchy lyric, and the military guy who did it is pretty amazing for his age.

And I might add, I am tired of seeing all these "guys" going around with their pants down around their butts, and even lower at times, I don't understand what they are trying to say, but here in Kansas I have been told that it is a "gang" thing.

My sister, who has worked in several different prisons in the state of California said that when a guy where his pants down that low it is a sign that he is gay or .................(we will leave it up to you to figure that out!!!!

I am going to miss Paula this year, but not because of her 'ditziness', but because I can't think of one thing that Ellen DeGenerate is going to bring to the show that will be a 'first'.

Well, last night's auditions in Chicago proved to be pretty fruitless. Less than 20 people out of the over 12,000 were given their gold tickets.

Shania Twain was really good as a guest judge and had a lot to offer the contestants. She was insightful and very funny.

The first girl singer of the night, she was 19 years old, was exactly what they are looking for in an audition. She had the perfect voice and as Shania Twain, 'you could be molded into a great singer'.

Looking forward to the Orlando auditions tonight. Could be good, and looks like they could be mostly bad, but we will see.

I feel really sorry for that one girl whose life keeps getting in the way. If you keep up with past contestant news you know tragedy struck her again (her mother went missing) just before the Hollywood rounds were to be filmed and it is unknown at this time if she participated or not.

Shania was the best guest judge thus far. Didn't see the Wednesday show though so I can't judge Kristen.

Another week of 'tryouts' for American Idol is on us. This time we are in L.A. and Dallas. Should be lots of fun with Katy Perry as one of the guest judges on Tuesday's show, and Joe Jonas as one of the guest judges on Wednesday's show.

Let's hope we get to see the next "American Idol" in the auditions, because so far, in my opinion, everyone they have chosen are good, but not quite up to what they are looking for in American Idol.

Actually it's Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne, according to previews.

The most useless site for 'true' information. If that is the only site you use, then you are missing out on a lot of real answers. I avoid Wikipedia like the plague that it is.

And if everyone read my post, I said it was Katy Perry as one of the guest judges, because I refuse to give a no talent like Avril Lavigne any extra publicity................ooopppppss, I guess I blew that one.

And tonight one of the judges of Joe Jonas, and the other judge will remain nameless.

The Los Angeles Show was a total disaster. I don't believe that we have seen the next American Idol yet. Some nice voices, but I don't think we have seen that breakout star of 2010.

Strange that Joe Jonas would be more name-worthy than Neil Patrick Harris.

But anyway, I fell asleep during last night's show. I wish I hadn't; clips I've seen played back made Katy Perry look like a refreshing break. Especially her clash with the endleslly irritating Kara Dioguardi.

Can't wait to see Neil Patrick Harris tonight. Joe Jonas will be perma-muted. Though I am slightly interested to see if you can hear the computer changing his speaking voice in the same way you can when he's singing?

As for last night's show: Avril Lavigne was useless, Katy Perry I liked.
