I just hope they don't pull a "Spider-Man 3" and overload the villain roster.

I hope Iron Man 2 has as many musical numbers as Spider-Man 3.

This movie looks AWESOME. I'm probably too hyped up to accurately judge this trailer but this is tied as my most anticipated film for 2010, right up there with TRON: Legacy. It's a shame this won't be released on IMAX as Jon Favreau had hoped; instead, Paramount with release Shrek Goes Fourth ( ) on the giant-screen format two weeks after Iron Man 2's opening weekend. GAG.

Oh, and since Spider-Man 3 took the "cheesy superhero disco dance sequence" and ran with it, this movie will be incomplete without an "awkward rock headbanging-in-car sequence". Mike Meyers might have inspired some goodness just yet. ;)

Cheers,
JM :thumb:

oh god....and let me guess Shrek 4 is going to be in 3D.....

I would much rather see this on imax than Shrek on Imax...prepare for the loudest fart ever heard on an Imax screen from an Ogre :P

..actually when I went to disney studios I actually was wearing shrek ears that year because Shrek came out...talk about me putting my ears away..(Maybe thats why they got us Disneyland Tickets so I could my own Mouse ears which I prefer any day over Shrek ears or donkey ass ears.. :P )

Well, ok, I'm also really looking forward to TRON: Legacy and Toy Story 3. I'm also looking forward to Clash of the Titans, Alice, and Prince of Persia, but not as much as IM2.

Seems to me that there's only one villain.

By the way, what's with all the Shrek hate? The movies aren't that bad. Are they?

It might seem that way to you, but you'd be, well, wrong. Whiplash, Justin Hammer, and Black Widow are all in this movie.

I'm definitely looking forward to this. Iron Man's my personal favorite superhero film. It's witty, glossy (yes, for me, that's a good thing), and it doesn't lean too heavily towards drama (The Dark Knight) or comedy (Fantastic Four), yet it feels satisfying enough in both areas.

Like others, I hope this doesn't get too bogged down with multiple storylines. Spider-Man 3 did a good job with Peter's personal arc, but it short thrifted the villains. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Batman Returns did great juggling its villains' arcs, but Bruce was left with the scraps. With Iron Man 2, we've got three separate villains, a growing character arc for Tony, and the introduction of Rodey as War Machine. Where that leaves Pepper in all this remains to be seen. Hopefully it all balances out.

Perhaps in the Iron Man universe, every old guy just happens to look like Stan Lee. Perhaps in "Iron Man 3" Tony Stark will meet Senator John McCain as played by Stan Lee.

While I think Iron Man 2 will be good, I'm still pissed the dumped Terrence Howard. It bothered me all throughout The Dark Knight that they swapped Katie Holmes and while she may not be the best actress, these actor/actress swaps really bother me as I already have the person from the first movie in my head as the image of that character.

The studio wanted him back inititally, but he got like a prima donna and asked for a huge raise. The studio said no, and was willing to negotiate, but he insisted on leaving.

Celebrities.
